!!!!!!!!!!Author's Note!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday (almost)! I hope everyone had a good week. Mine was fine. I'm still sick but I felt well enough to teach my lessons and go to band practice. I'm on the mends though, so that is good. I'm happy that we don't have anything planned this weekend. It will be nice to relax and continue to get better.

This week, Patrick meets up with Pete at the coffee shop. He's still on edge from his near kidnapping and what'd happened today. Pete asks him if he's ok, and Patrick decides how much to share because he doesn't want to screw things up with him. He tries to be vague but then Pete asks if Patrick wants to tell him about it. Patrick tells him it's too early in to share that much, but Pete assures him that he couldn't say anything that would screw things up. Patrick tells him everything and Pete is shocked by what he hears. Pete asks if he was ok, which Patrick answers no. They discuss various aspects of Patrick's story until Patrick asks to change the subject. Pete agrees but before they move on, he makes sure to tell Patrick that if he needs anything to not hesitate to call or text him and offers to walk him to the music building and back to his car. Patrick thanks him and they move onto other topics and agree to meet up for a date a few days later. Patrick has to go back to the music building to work on his project, so they leave and walk back. They make out for a while outside for a while, and Patrick considers blowing off his project to go find somewhere more private with Pete, but he knows he needs to work on his project since he won't be there for the rest of the week. Pete offers to stay until he's done and walk him back to his car, but Patrick knows he won't get much done if Pete stays. Pete offers to go do something and come back when Patrick is done, but Patrick says he will be fine because the marathon was still going on and there were people around. They say their goodbyes and go their separate ways.

Chapter 126

********Trigger Warning for Kidnapping********

*Patrick sees Pete sitting at a table in the back corner of the coffee shop and melts just a little bit. After everything he'd gone through last night and today, he was so happy that he got to meet up with this gorgeous angel again.

"Hey Patrick!" Pete calls when he sees Patrick enter the coffee shop, with what must be a friend.

"Hey Pete! Thanks for letting me push this back. I'm sorry, but there were a few things I had to take care of before I could meet with you." Patrick replies, setting his backpack down on the floor and sitting across from the most beautiful man he's ever seen.

"No problem! Is everything ok? You seem a little on edge, or are you just nervous to see me again?" Pete asks.

Patrick thinks for a minute about how much he wants to share with Pete. He doesn't want to mess this up by telling him too much, but Patrick's had one hell of a night and day.

"Well, that's part of it, but it's not all of it. Last night and today have been...eventful, which is freaking me out a bit." Patrick tries to tread lightly.

"I'm sorry to hear that. Are these...events part of what you had to deal with before meeting me?" Pete asks.

"Yes, but I'm trying to put that behind me and enjoy meeting up and getting to see you again. I really enjoyed our conversation in the park yesterday." Patrick tries changing the subject.
