!!!!!!!!!!Author's Note!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday (technically Saturday)! I hope you all had a good week. Mine was busy, but normal other than the fact that I have two gigs this weekend. One was tonight and the other is on Sunday, so yay for that. I do get a rest day in the middle, so that will help it so I'm not exhausted by the end of the weekend. I love doing gigs though! It's so much fun! I hope whatever plans you guys have for the weekend go well too.

Anyways, this week is a little info heavy as we recap some things and get an outsider's perspective. Andy's really struggling with what he's seen recently and the fact that Patrick is being so badly abused by Gabe and drugged to the point he can't even sit up before his meetings with his lawyer. He is also kind of in a tricky situation when it comes to Brad. There's two parts to Brad, friend Brad and guard Brad and Andy was stuck in the middle making hard to punish or penalize him. Friend Brad was a good friend and was really fun to be around. Guard Brad took the power part of his job too seriously, he was rough with prisoners and sometimes went too far, and he was incredibly corrupt. The fact that Andy's dealing with Brad and Gabe there isn't much he can do to stop the abuse. He meets with the Director of the Department of Corrections and takes advantage of his opportunity to get advice on how to handle it. He explains what happened with Patrick and how he ended up becoming a prisoner, what is currently happening, and who he's involved with to the Director and asks for his advice on how to handle the situation. The Director points out that there are basically two options for Andy to choose from and they both really suck. Neither of which is going to be beneficial for Patrick. Andy then asks him which option he would choose and the Director answers him. Finally, the last thing they discuss is how Andy can live with whichever option he chooses and the Director recommends that he start seeing a therapist or a psychiatrist to help him deal with the parts of this decision that he's struggling with. Andy asks him if he knows any good therapists and psychiatrists and the Director offers to send him a list. Brad leaves Patrick's room to go inform Gabe of what is happening to him. Brad tells him that Patrick started getting very sick with a very high fever that Spencer couldn't get it to come down no matter what he did. He expresses how they moved him to sick bay. He also mentions that he and Joe had watched Patrick experience something that looked incredibly painful in his hallucination and was screaming at the top of his lungs, which destroyed his voice and set off alarms on the various machines. Brad assured Gabe that he would make Spencer and the two nurses forget that it happened and that he was ever there once Patrick was improving. He asks Gabe how to proceed and if he'd like to see him. Gabe decides to stay out of it for right now, and tells Brad that if Patrick got worse to come get him. Brad takes Gabe back to his cell and then decides to go hunting because he's very hungry, feigning a bad injury to lure a guard close to a hallway so he can drag him off and feed on him.

As always, enjoy, tell your friends and if you like it feel free to leave me kudos or a comment! If you'd like to discuss the story with me directly, you can find me on tumblr @dancecoaster. Happy Reading!

Chapter 132

********Trigger Warning for Descriptions of Violence, Rape, Torture, and Medical Situations********

Andy is sitting in his office finishing up a meeting that he had with Howard Jennings, the Department of Corrections Director, regarding several of his prisoners and amendments or additions to their sentences. They couldn't meet in person this time due to the Jennings' schedule, so they were meeting via Zoom. Andy had nothing against Director Jennings, but the man was a huge windbag and loved the sound of his own voice, so that made meetings with him terminal and take forever. Andy was a man of much fewer words than him, but he was usually fine with letting the Director drone on forever and ever, but he was still in the process of cleaning up the gigantic mess that Patrick's retaliation attack had caused, and he had a million other things to do today so this meeting was testing his patience today.
