!!!!!!!!!!Author's Note!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Everyone! Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a good week. Mine was pretty normal for me. I spent it teaching and practicing for my Halloween gig. We didn't have band practice tonight because one of our members had a family emergency and another is on vacation, so that's why you are getting your update a little earlier than normal. We don't have anything planned for the weekend. We usually don't unless we are going on a trip or I have a gig.
Anyways, today Patrick finishes up his work in the recording studio and starts walking back to his car. He finds that the marathon he was hoping he'd be able to hide it was over and cleared out fast. He keeps watching for the kidnapper, but so far he was good. He gets about 3/4 of a mile from his car when he feels like he's being watched. He looks behind him and sees the kidnapper. He takes off running as fast as he can and finds the kidnapper gaining on him faster than he should be able to. Patrick keeps pushing himself as far as he possibly can until he has an asthma attack and collapses. The kidnapper catches up to him and saves him by giving him his inhaler. Then he offers to not harm him if he goes with the kidnapper willingly. Patrick agrees and pretends to be super tired until he recovers. Then he kicks the man and runs until he gets to his car. Patrick reaches for his keys only to find that they've fallen out of his pocket when he had the asthma attack. He takes off into the dense forest of the park to lose him. Patrick keeps running until he gets to a big clearing of the forest, finds he's surrounded by massive wolves and is attacked, torn apart and is left bleeding out on the forest floor. A lone wolf runs in and attacks the other group of wolves and runs them off, then runs to get help. Pete stumbles into the clearing later, finds Patrick, picks him up and runs to Patrick's car, puts him in, and drives back to his house to save him. Real Joe watches Patrick go through all this. Patrick has an asthma attack, and Joe calls Brad to get Spencer or Gabe. Brad gets Gabe who stops the attack and assesses him. He finds that he didn't get all the Versed and he has to give him a TON more blood to clear the rest of it. While he's doing that, Patrick starts screaming from being attacked in the hallucination and Gabe and Brad laugh maniacally about it.
As always, enjoy, tell your friends, and if you like it please feel free to leave me kudos or a comment. If you'd like to discuss the story with me directly, you can find me on tumblr @dancecoaster. Happy reading!
Chapter 127
********Trigger Warning for Graphic Violence, Gore, Animal Attacks, and Mentions of Drug Use********
*Patrick heads to the recording studio to work on his project. He manages to get quite a bit done while he's there while keeping a close eye on the clock in the room. It's getting close to 9:00 p.m. so he tries to finish up what he's currently working on, which takes another fifteen minutes.
Then he packs up his things, grabs his backpack, and leaves the recording studio and the music building around 9:30 p.m. to begin the two-mile trek back to his car. It's now dark outside too, and it appears that the commotion from the marathon has pretty much ended and cleared out much faster than Patrick had expected. He tries to stay as close to the lighted areas as possible, but this is not ideal. Patrick keeps a look out for the man again, but so far, he hasn't seen him. He at least doubles his walking pace to try to get to his car sooner. He's about a mile into his walk and is very quickly leaving the lighting of the town, so he knows he needs to be on guard and vigilant. He feels like he's doing fine until he's about ¾ of a mile from his car when he feels a chill wash over him. Patrick knows something is wrong, so he keeps walking and then he feels like he's being followed again. He glances behind him and in the distance, he sees what looks like the man from last night. Fuuuuuuuuuck!!!!!!!! Patrick takes off running as fast as he can, but the man is gaining on him much faster this time. It almost seems impossible that he could've caught up so quickly. He keeps running and pushing his body to go even faster with the man closing the distance no matter how fast Patrick ran. He manages to keep up that pace and pushes a little more until he starts coughing and wheezing. No!!!!! Not right now! I can't get to my inhaler without stopping!!!!!! He starts gasping for breath and slowing down. The man is within arm's length now. Patrick pulls out his phone and gets a quick text off to Pete only saying, "Help me!" He tries to keep running fast, but he can't even seem to get air into his lungs at this point. He's coughing, hacking, wheezing, and his head is starting to get cloudy. He knows he needs to call 911, but his body collapses on the ground before he gets the chance. The man catches up to him and tackles him onto the ground, before he realizes that Patrick is having some kind of medical problem. Patrick is reaching for his bag to get his inhaler but he's coughing and wheezing too hard to get it.
