Chapter 161

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday! I hope you all had a good week! Mine was pretty normal. I taught all my lessons, and practiced my brains out for my gig this weekend. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms who write and read fanfics! Whatever your plans for Mother's Day are, have fun and relax! Since my gig is on Mother's day, we are celebrating it tomorrow. I plan on sleeping in, getting my nails and toes done, and having dinner at my favorite Japanese Hibachi Place in town. I might get a massage on Monday too. Self care is extremely important when you are a mom. It took me a long time to learn that and not to feel guilty about it. If you burn yourself out trying to take care of others, then you are no good to anyone including yourself. So make sure you guys carve out some time for yourself every so often!

Before I forget, the Prologue Synopsis is now completed and posted! Now you have everything you need start from the beginning and know what's happening or, if you haven't started reading this story yet, now you can! I'm happy to get back to working on my story again.

Anyways, this week we start in Patrick's hallucination. Pete and Joe wake up in their cell stranded on the floor in horrible pain. Their smaller injuries had healed, but the big ones hadn't so neither of them could stand or get off the floor. Pete uses his pain transference power on himself to bring his pain down, and then does the same for Joe. Pete is exhausted after that but tells Joe he can talk. Joe asks him if he's heard from Patrick since he died and Pete tells him no, that their connection was severed after he felt him die. Joe reminds him that it's Gabe's fault and asks if Pete is ok now that his head is very quiet. Pete tells him that it's a complicated answer, that he'd grown accustomed to hearing Patrick and that now it's empty and lonely. He says he's not ok but they needed to focus on surviving and refusing to let Gabe and Travie break them. Pete tells Joe that he needs to sleep to recharge from the power transference power. Patrick feels himself waking up and opens his eyes to find himself in a very dark room, not his cell. He has no problem seeing in the dark when everything come back. He's now a vampire and he killed three humans by draining them dry. A few moments later, it finally hit him. He'd killed three people just so he could eat! He barely even remembered doing it since he was in a completely feral state and didn't know how to live with himself. He gets upset and starts crying only to find that his tears were now blood. He reviews his situation. He's chained to the wall by silver chains that were burning his wrists and ankles badly. He's getting hungry again too. He attempts to contact Pete but it doesn't work. That's when he realizes that their connection was cut when he died. In the real world, Gabe meets with Adam Siska, a member of his coven who helps him procure things and smuggle them into the prison for Gabe. Today he was there to drop off one of the things Gabe needed for Brad's big punishment. They touch base for a bit and Gabe tells him a bit of what's going on and then Siska explains what he brought for him that day.

Chapter 161

********Trigger Warning for Graphic Violence and Drug Use********

*Pete wakes up in his cell crumpled on the floor in a ton of pain. Joe was lying next to him, also crumpled in a pile on the floor. His brain is still foggy from everything that had happened. He has random memory flashes from what had occurred, but none of them are in any kind of chronological order. Pete takes a moment to take stock in the condition of his broken, battered, and bloody body. It appears that some of the smaller things have already healed, but nothing major quite yet. His dislocated knee had healed as have most of his broken ribs and some of the minor injuries from the torture and the beating. His right ankle is still broken and dislocated and his shattered left foot and toes haven't healed yet either. That means that they haven't been lying there for several hours. Unfortunately, that meant that Pete couldn't stand or walk so he was stuck sitting on the ground. Before he attempts anything else, he closes his eyes and focuses hard on activating his pain transference power to rid himself of the worst pain. He feels it activate and then he starts releasing some of the immense pain that he's feeling. While he's doing that, Joe regains consciousness and tries to sit up, which was a very bad decision. It is horribly painful, and he screams out.
