!!!!!!!!!!Author's Note!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday! I'm sorry I'm late! I hope you all had a good week! Mine was pretty quiet. We decided to stay an additional night on our trip, so we got home on Tuesday. It was a nice trip. A bit sad, but it was still nice to get away for a few days. I haven't felt the greatest this week, so I've been taking it easy since I have gigs coming up around St. Patrick's Day.

You will probably notice that this story is now part of a series. I've begun writing a detailed prologue of what happens before my story starts. I'm doing this mainly so people who want to read my story can start at the beginning and know what happened prior to my story. I will be updating it often, as I finish the chapters until I catch up to where this one starts. These chapters won't be nearly as long as the ones for this story either, so hopefully I can get through them quickly. So, if you wanted to recommend this story to a friend but they couldn't read it because they don't know what happened previously, this solves that problem. It took me a while to do this, so I didn't get the new chapter posted last night. Sorry.  You can read the Prologue Synopsis here:

Anyways, This week we are still in Patrick's hallucination. Gabe wakes up in his quarters and doesn't remember how he got there or what happened before that. Slowly things come back to him and he remembers feeding on Patrick and somehow getting extremely drunk. When he makes the connection that Patrick's blood got him drunk he wants answers so he calls a guard and orders them to bring Patrick to his lab immediately. He tells the guard that Patrick will probably try to run away, so he tells him to make sure he has a sedative with him. The guard agrees and leaves. Patrick wakes up in a crumpled pile on the floor in his cell right next to the wall that Gabe pushed him up against when he fed on him. He feels absolutely horrible, is showing symptoms of massive blood loss, and he can't see straight. He wants to get to his bed and go back to sleep, so he drags himself over to his bed, grabs a support bar, pulls himself up, sits down, lays down, pulls the covers over him and then goes to sleep. He wakes up a few hours later when the door to his cell opens and a guard enters. The guard tells him that Gabe wants to see him in his lab now. Patrick knows this is bad and tries to stall by telling him he can't go anywhere because he's in chains. The guard goes to get the keys and returns, opens them, and they begin walking. Patrick starts looking for any opportunity to run, but doesn't see one, so he pretends to fall and "break his ankle." The guard is looking for something to help when Patrick takes off running. He's a few feet from the property line when he's tackled by the guard. Patrick begs him to not take him to Gabe's lab, but guard doesn't listen and sedates him. Patrick passes out. He wakes up in Gabe's lab with restraints on his arms and legs connecting to the bed, he's strapped to a medical table, hooked up to many machines, and there's an IV in his arm feeding him drugs. Patrick starts struggling and calling for help but no one comes. Then he has a massive panic attack and Gabe sedates him to stop it. He wakes up later and Gabe is there taunting him and abusing him when he doesn't answer the way Gabe wants. Gabe reveals that he's going to use Patrick as a trap to lure Pete here and destroy him. Patrick is furious and tells him the he refuses to be a weapon to destroy his mate, will fight him, and that he'd rather die than be one of Gabe's abominations. Gabe points out that he's helpless to do anything and Patrick spits in his face. Gabe hits him and breaks and dislocates his right ankle. Gabe asks him why his blood got him drunk and Patrick lies, telling him that he has no idea. Gabe appears to believe him.

As always, enjoy, tell your friends, and if you like it, please feel free to leave me kudos or a message! Thank you to the three people that gave me kudos this week! If you'd like to speak with me directly, you can find me on tumblr @dancecoaster. I WILL NOT answer any messages of people offering to do art or beta reading my story for money! Happy Reading!
