Chapter 149

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday! Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you all had a good week. Mine was busy and exhausting. I'm super tired and I'm looking forward not doing a whole lot this weekend. We don't go out on Valentine's day because it's too crazy and expensive. We do celebrate it though. I get flowers and then we have a nice dinner at home.

Anyways, this week, we pick up where we left off in Patrick's hallucination. Gabe has found out that Patrick is still alive and has his hybrid army attack the Packhouse. They are vastly outnumbered and the hybrids have defeated all their attempts to fight back. All that's left between the hybrids and Patrick are Joe, Andy, and Pete. Joe is at the back door waiting for the hybrids to come. He's heard the other's screams, so he knows they haven't been able to hold them back. They attack him, and he makes some headway until one in human form grabs him from behind and tases him until he's unconscious. Andy is at the front door thinking about what he'd just seen and when he sees the hybrids he goes on a murderous rampage killing many of them. He's doing well until one decks him and holds him down. The hybrid takes it's human form and compels him to return to his human form, unlock the door, and invite them in. Andy does as he's told. The hybrid tells him to go back to the porch and takes him out. Pete and Patrick are a back room of the house and have piled a ton of furniture in front of the door. Pete tells Patrick to go in the closet and turn into his wolf form. Patrick agrees but not before they profess their love for each other and kiss like this might be the end. When they hear the fighting going on outside, Patrick goes in the closet, changes into his wolf form and waits for them to come. Pete locks the door and then piles a ton of furniture in front of the door. The hybrids come, Pete is vastly outnumbered and fights like hell but they overtake him and break Patrick out of the closet. They attack Patrick, Pete feels his pain through their marks and passes out. Patrick loses control of his body and returns to his human form. He's barely still holding, the hybrids suddenly stop attacking him, and Gabe enters and starts tormenting him. Patrick tells him he knows who he is. Gabe asks if his pack leader told him that. Patrick says yes when Gabe notices the mark on his neck. Gabe walks over to Pete and sees the mark on his neck and then asks Patrick if Pete is more than his pack leader. Patrick tells him yes and then loses consciousness. Patrick wakes up in a dungeon with chains on his wrists and ankles wondering how was still alive. He's in a ton of pain from what's left of his injuries, tries to get up and look around but regrets it. Gabe comes into his cell and beats him when he doesn't comply. Gabe explains how he found out Patrick was still alive and Patrick tells him to save his breath telling him what his master plan was, that he already knew. He tells Gabe what Pete told him. Gabe tells him that he healed his mortal injuries so he didn't die and took out his pack members. He said some were killed, and some were left alive so that they will try to rescue Patrick, and Gabe would have more subjects to experiment on. Then Gabe drugs him and leaves. Patrick hears the door shut and then passes out.

Chapter 149

*Joe (story Joe) is standing at the back of the house, guarding the back door. Things have been relatively quiet, but he's heard blood-curling screams from various pack members, so he knows that they couldn't hold the hybrids back and they must be headed his way. Everyone knew from the start that we would be severely outnumbered, I just hope that the others are still alive after this. Joe doesn't get much more time to think before one of the hybrids is on him. Joe grabs, rips, tears, slashes, gores, scratches and bites the hybrid, leaving massive holes in their body. By conventional means, the hybrid should be injured enough and bleeding out that they would be close to death, but that's not the case. It's still alive and fighting back, so Joe makes more conscious decisions about where to bite to do the most damage. He takes a huge bite of the hybrid's belly, grabbing as many vital organs as possible, and tears them out. Then he goes in with his paws and claws and digs more out until they are scattering the lawn. Next, he bites and rips around the hybrid's neck until he completely decapitates the hybrid and kills it.
