!!!!!!!!!!Author's Note!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Everyone! Happy Friday! I hope everyone's week went well. Mine was quiet, which was good. I was still very tired from our trip the previous week, so it was nice to be able to take the time I needed to recover. We also plan to chill this weekend, so that will help too.
This week, Pete finishes repairing all the damage the wolves did during their attack and barely finishes in time to leave for the hospital. Meanwhile, Spencer gathers, briefs, and readies everyone to leave for the hospital including Patrick. He waits until the last minute and then interrupts Pete just as he finishes and disconnects from Patrick. Then they load Patrick into the SUV and then head to the hospital. While driving, Spencer can tell that Pete is exhausted and proposes that Pete should sleep and recover while they take Patrick for x-rays and the CT scan. Pete doesn't fight him on it and asks how Patrick is doing. Spencer explains his current condition and then shares that when he checked Patrick's blisters earlier that they were completely healed and the bite marks were almost completely closed, pointing out, that Patrick's werewolf regeneration power was much further along than he thought. Pete says the same thing about his telepathy powers. Spencer suggests a potential theory of why that was happening, but also mentions that it could be unrelated. Pete humors him, so Spencer goes on to infer that he thinks that Patrick may have an ancient fairy ancestor. He poses that it would explain his complicated relationship with nature among other things and it would also expound how he is healing so much faster than he should. Pete agrees when presented with all the evidence. They finally get to the hospital, unload Patrick, take him to his room to wait until his first appointment, and Spencer gives him the maximum amount of morphine he can where Patrick would still be awake. When it's time, everyone except Pete takes Patrick to x-ray while Pete stays behind and passes out on the convertible couch.

Chapter 136
********Trigger Warning for Drug Use and Discussion of Medical Situations and Conditions********
*Pete has now been working on Patrick for six hours. Patrick is asleep again, which is good. He's finished fixing and rebuilding all the incredibly deep damage to Patrick's neck and spinal cord. Now all that's left is for him to connect the top of his spinal cord into his brain and he's got two hours to do it. Pete's been keeping track of time so that he finishes before they must leave for the hospital. It will be cutting it close, but he's pretty sure that he can finish in time. He turns his attention to the task at hand. First, he positions the spinal cord in the right place and begins the long and arduous process of connecting all the nerves of Patrick's spinal cord to where they connect in his brain. Pete must also test every connection to make sure he's done this right. He knows it causes sharp pains for Patrick when he does so, and he feels bad causing him more pain, but that's the only way to check that he's done this correctly. It's actually good that he's still asleep. Then he won't feel the sharp pains as much. This is going to take forever, but once I'm done, the only thing I will have to do is heal Patrick's concussion. I'm just hoping that once I finish, his body will be able to focus on healing his wounds and killing the two infections. Those wolves did an immense amount of damage to poor Patrick's body. I'm not talking about surface damage; I'm talking about insanely deep damage that Patrick probably doesn't even notice. I'm not going to lie. I'd love to hurt whomever it was that did this. I think I have a pretty good idea which pack it was, and if it turns out I'm right about it, they aren't going to stop until they achieve their goals. The only thing that's keeping Patrick safe is that the leader of that pack thinks he's dead. Once they find out he's alive, they will come for him, so we need to keep this under wraps for as long as we can. It is inevitable though that they will find out, especially when Patrick starts returning to his normal life. The pack needs to protect him! He just needs to get better before we can start training him.
