!!!!!!!!!Author's Note!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday! Yes, I know I'm late! We are on a trailer trip and were busy last night, so I didn't get a chance to update my story. Sorry! I hope everyone's week was good. Mine was busy and exhausting, but I made a good amount of money. I had three gigs for St. Patrick's Day, so I performed all of those, which was really fun and very lucrative. They were on consecutive days, so it didn't give me much time to recover from each one. When they were all done, I was exhausted. I'm proud of myself for doing them though. Then my husband mentioned that we needed to take out the trailer to make sure we'd fixed the leak that we had the previous time. He'd gotten the parts to replace fix it and installed it all, but we just wanted to make sure we were good, and it looks like we are. We are at an RV park about an hour away from where we live and we've just been chilling. I also added three chapters to the Prologue Synopsis, so that took some time too.

Anyways, this week, Gabe is researching in his library what Patrick could possibly be when he realizes he's been at it all night. He'd narrowed it down to three things, a Phoenix, a Unicorn, or a Selkie. He decides to go for a walk in his gardens, contemplating what he planned on doing with Patrick later. He was thinking of doing a ton of tests and experiments to make sure the transformation process is successful the next time. He would start with trying to coerce Patrick into telling him what he was followed by experimentation that would blur the line between torture and experimentation. He also planned on making it as painful as possible to satisfy his sadistic side. He might even feed on him again while he's at it. He wonders if Patrick's blood will taste like his own or Gabe's since he'd replaced his blood with his, mixed with the synthesized blood of one of the original vampires that had infiltrated the pack. This blood was key during the transformation process, and he'd used the blood of the oldest and strongest vampire with Patrick, which was why he was surprised that it didn't work. Gabe decides that he must further concentrate it, to work with Patrick. He heads to his lab after that to prepare for his experiment/torture, calling the guards to sedate and bring Patrick to the lab. Patrick wakes up in his cell cold and hungry. He grabs his food and scarfs it down before the guards enter and sedate him. He wakes up in Gabe's lab wearing a hospital gown, restrained and strapped to the medical table. He struggles against the restraints, which make them worse when Gabe enters asking him how he slept. Patrick doesn't answer and Gabe stabs him in the bottom of his left foot deeply with a scalpel, which bleeds profusely. Gabe sucks the blood from his foot, mentioning that his blood tastes like his own and not Gabe's, theorizing that when he came back to life, he returned with his own blood. Gabe asks him if he slept well again and Patrick says yes. Gabe then shares his plans for Patrick with him and tells him if he lies or resists, that he will hurt him. He explains that he's looking for whatever caused the procedure not to work and wants figure out how to counteract it. He tells Patrick if he cooperates it won't be bad, but if he resists it will be insanely painful. Gabe starts by asking him what he is, and Patrick lies, telling him he doesn't know. Gabe punches him twice for lying. Gabe switches gears and tells him that he thinks Patrick is a Phoenix bird disguised in a human/werewolf body. Patrick confirms it. That backfires though, because Gabe punishes him by carving the word Phoenix deeply into his chest with a scalpel. Patrick suddenly feels very sick and pukes on himself and Gabe. He also feels dizzy, exhausted, and has lost a lot of blood. Gabe makes him drink his blood to heal him. After it's worked, he takes a ton of blood samples and decides to cut him open to see what made him tick, not using anesthesia or pain meds. Patrick screams until he passes out from the pain.
