Chapter 156

Hello Everyone! Happy Saturday! I know, I'm late. I was trying to finish the chapters for the Prologue Synopsis and get them up on Thursday night, but that didn't happen so I had to do it last night. I also hadn't proofread the chapter for this week yet, so I had to do that. That's why this is a day late. I hope everyone had a good week. Mine was busy. I have ten voice students and have had inquires for three more, which is very good! My teaching schedule is close to being full. The only downside is that now I have to find time to go to the gym and the grocery store that works around my schedule while still giving myself enough time to recover. I know...white people problems, right? This weekend is Easter and we plan on staying home and relaxing. The Easter bunny is coming tomorrow, so my son is very excited, which will be fun.

Anyways, this week, we are still in Patrick's hallucination. After having the guards beat the everloving fuck out of Pete and Joe, and Patrick by proxy until they passed out, Gabe decides it's time to prepare them for the upcoming torture session. He orders his guards to bring two medical beds with restraints from his lab and place Pete and Joe on them using the restraints. Gabe returns to his lab to pick up the instruments he plans on using to torture them and goes over scenarios in his head while he walks to his head of security's, Travie's, office. He asks Travie if he wants to help him torture his prisoners and he answers with a resounding yes. They discuss the plan on their way there. Travie is fascinated that Patrick feels Pete's pain so they are torturing him too. They decide to wake them by using tasers. Pete, Joe, and Patrick wake up screaming. Patrick tells them not to pull on the restraints because they will only get tighter and that there's no way to escape them. Gabe asks them what Patrick was, but Patrick interrupts by telling him that he already knew. This pisses off Gabe and he punishes him and Pete for it. 1.5 hrs later, they are all still awake and Patrick describes the things that Gabe and Travie had done to them before they all finally lost consciousness. When they are done, Travie asks what Gabe's plans were for the prisoners and whether he would try to turn Patrick again. Gabe shares that he found a genetic marker on Patrick's DNA that stopped the procedure from working and reveals that he planned to spend all night figuring out how to turn it off. Travie asks him if he plans to contain Patrick's blood and synthesize it so he can enjoy it after Patrick is turned. Gabe considers it. Patrick wakes up in his cell the next day and Gabe comes to feed on him, injecting him with something right before he passes out. Then Patrick wakes up in Gabe's lab hooked up to the same machines as before with an IV in his arm feeding him the same drugs as before. Gabe comes to taunt him, explaining that he'd found the marker on his DNA and had figured out how to turn it off and made a serum, which he injected him with this morning. Patrick has a massive panic attack that brings him very close to having a heart attack or stroke. Gabe sedates him to stop it. Hybrid One asks him what he did and he mentions that he told Patrick about making the procedure work. Hybrid One suggests that they use anesthesia during the first part of the procedure because Patrick's body had been through so much in a short time. Gabe says he will think about it before asking them to help find a way to contain Patrick's blood so he can synthesize it later.
