Hello Everyone! Happy Friday! I hope you all had a good week. Mine was good. We came home from our trailer trip and then I resumed teaching my lessons for the week. It was nice for everything to calm down and get back to normal life. It's my husband's birthday this weekend, so we will be celebrating that, which will be fun.

Anyways, this week things don't go well for poor Patrick. Make sure you read the trigger warnings for this chapter and if that triggers you, then you should probably skip this chapter. It starts with Patrick waking up in his cell after being experimented on by Gabe. He's in tons of pain and feels absolutely awful from the various ways Gabe was experimenting on him. He'd taken painful skin samples, used a ton of different drugs on him and had tried many gene therapies on him including giving him truth serum and grilling him for a long time. Patrick was proud of himself for not telling Gabe he was part fairy. Patrick didn't remember much of what happened besides that. He gives up trying to recall it and focuses on readying himself for Pete to rescue him. He's hungry so he tries to stand up, walk over, get his food, and bring it back to his bed, but when he tries to stand, he gets violently ill. He decides to lay back down and go back to sleep. He wakes up two hours later feeling better enough to get his food and eat it. Then he dozes and actually falls back asleep until Pete and the pack come to rescue him. He hears movement outside his door, knowing it was Pete, but there was a chance it was someone else, so he grabbed the tray from his food and held it over his head by the door. It turns out to be Pete and Co. He's very happy to see Pete and jumps into his arms. Andy tells them they need to get moving, but they can't because of Patrick's chains, so Joe goes to get the keys off the unconscious guard. Pete unlocks them and sees the burns on Patrick's wrists and ankles. Patrick tell him they were coated with blue and yellow wolfsbane. They all begin leaving and are doing pretty well until they are a few feet from the property line when they are attacked and decked by the hybrids. Patrick tells them what happened and that they have to hurry to escape. They try to stand but some of them are injured and can't. They are surrounded by hybrid guards and have nowhere to go. Then Patrick hears Gabe ask him what thinks he's doing before going on to tell him that there were cameras everywhere and that he'd placed a tracker under his skin so he knew exactly where he was. He orders the guards to bring Patrick to him, but Pete refuses to let go, so Gabe orders the guards to bring them both to him. Gabe toys with both of them and punches Pete a few times. He sees Patrick react and learns that they share each other's pain and plans to use that against them. He tells the guards to bring three sets of chains and orders them to put a set on Patrick and Pete. Patrick yelps when they put the chains on because he broke the bottom part of his left arm when he fell. Gabe forces him to choose one other member of the pack. Patrick picks Joe, who is brought to Gabe and put in chains. Then he orders the hybrid guards to kill everyone else. Patrick, Pete and Joe watch in horror as each member of their pack is killed. Patrick ends up puking several times. Gabe asks him if he's ok and Patrick tells him what he really thinks. Gabe punches him several times. Pete reacts and tells Gabe to go after him, not Patrick. Gabe beats him a bit. He tells the guards to bring the three of them inside, throw Joe and Pete on the floor and attach their chains to to loops in the floor. Gabe takes Patrick to the end of the room and attaches his chains to the wall. Then he orders the guards to beat the fuck out of Pete and Joe, and by proxy, Patrick. It's a very unfair fight because Pete and Joe are in chains with their arms behind their backs and the hybrid guards are so much stronger than they are. Patrick takes a bad beating to. They are beaten until they are about to pass out. Pete apologizes to Patrick for failing to rescue him through their bond. Patrick tells him it's not his fault. They profess their love for each other and then they both lose consciousness.
