!!!!!!!!!!Author's Note!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone! Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a good week! Mine was VERY busy. I'm up to 10 voice students that I teach weekly, which is great. I also have three upcoming gigs for St. Patrick's Day, which start on March 14. So trying to find time to practice has been difficult. I'm ready for it, but I just wish I had more time to run the set for stamina's sake. They will be fun though!

This week, things take a bad turn as Gabe tries to transform Patrick into a hybrid. Read the trigger warnings and stay safe! We pick up where we left off last week in Patrick's hallucination. He's restrained and strapped to a medical table in Gabe's lab with no means of escape. Patrick realizes that he has to keep the conversation going with Gabe, or they will move onto starting the transformation process. Patrick asks Gabe a question, and since Gabe is pissed at him, he breaks his left ankle to establish his dominance. Gabe catches on to what Patrick is trying to do and decides it's time to get things ready and begin. He takes a sample of Patrick's blood and leaves him to finish preparing things for the procedure. Patrick knows he's totally fucked, so he contacts Pete to explain what was happening and to say goodbye, mentioning that he wishes they had more time, but that wasn't going to happen. They share their feelings for each other. Pete tells him that some of the remaining members had injuries that hadn't healed yet and wouldn't be ready to attempt a rescue until the following night, apologizing for not making it there in time to save him. Pete wants to come there by himself, but Patrick tells him not to. Patrick warns Pete of the upcoming pain. Pete tells him not to worry about it, they say their final goodbyes, and then Patrick cuts the connection when he hears Gabe and his hybrids coming. They make sure everything is in order and Patrick freaks out, panicking. Gabe knows they don't have time for that, so he compels Patrick to relax, which has the desired effect. When everything is in order, it's time to begin. Patrick makes one last plea to Gabe, begging him not to do this, but Gabe mocks him and all the hybrids laugh. Gabe also informs him that this will be the most painful thing he's ever experienced before they begin. Then they start the process by dispensing multiple medications into Patrick's IV, which make his veins and arteries feel like they are on fire. Once they are finished, it's time for Gabe to feed on him. He moves closer to Patrick and is about to bite him, when Patrick warns him that his blood will make him get drunk. Gabe reveals that he took Patrick's blood sample, analyzed it, and created a serum that would stop him from getting drunk. Gabe sinks his teeth into Patrick's neck and begins draining him of blood. It's insanely painful and Patrick struggles to stay awake, but can't fight it anymore and passes out, knowing that he will die, become a hybrid, or be a brainless reject. Gabe continues the process, but pauses before he kills him to dispense more medications. Then he finishes Patrick off and they wait for his heart to stop and his breathing to stop. It takes much longer than normal. Ten minutes later, Patrick is dead. Gabe bites his wrist and starts replacing Patrick's blood with his. It's going well until Patrick's heart starts beating again followed by him starting to breathe again. They don't know what's happening, but Gabe tells the hybrids to continue the process, which involves electrocuting him for two hours. Patrick is unconscious and dreams of what his future with Pete might look like. Then he feels his entire body seize up as he's shocked with electricity. Gabe looks down at Patrick. The process is complete and all that is left is to wait and see what happens. Patrick wakes up 24 hrs later in a private room in Gabe's lab. It appears the process didn't work, because he wasn't a hybrid, but somehow, he wasn't a lobotomized reject. He isn't sure how this was possible. He thought those were the only two options. It takes him some time to come to the realization that his fairy blood had saved him.
