Chapter 18

Jade's POV

After series of squeals and jumps I go take my seat again. It was next to Remus and in front of Eve. Things seemed to be going great until Marlene, Alice, and Lily walked over there.

"So, it's come to my attention you have something to tell us?" said Marlene. I didn't say anything. What was I supposed to say? What did they expect? "Don't be so rude Marlene." said Lily. I saw that James was smiling at her and that she hadn't really noticed which was out of the ordinary. Normally if she ever came over here it was mostly to fraternize with him.

"What is it that you want to know?" I asked. I was completely and utterly confused. Then, I felt a hand grab mine and instantly knew. Remus. They wanted to know about Remus.

Before Marlene could say anything I spoke. "Oh. I know. Um, well," "Well What!" Marlene said. "Maybe if you'd shut your mouth for a minute I could speak!" Did I actually just say that? I was never mean to them no matter how mad they made me.

"No need to be rude," said Lily. I didn't plan on saying anything but Eve certainly had. "Lily, you're no ones mother so why don't you just shut up and let Jade say what she wants?" Lily crossed her arms and that's when James chimed in.

"Eve, leave Lily alone! She's just trying to help." Eve and James got in a fight all there own. I started to squeeze Remus's hand and biting my lip to keep myself from crying. Remus squeezed back to reassure me.

Marlene began to yell at me and when I didn't say anything back I was shocked. Because Remus did. "Marlene leave her alone and stop being such a twit! What she was trying to say before you so rudely interrupted her was that she was dating me okay? Now why don't you go sit down before you blow your head off yelling?" That made us all silent. Even Eve and James who had there own little fight.

Finally, Marlene decided to speak. "Okay. I'll go. But only if Jade comes with us." All eye's were on me. But instead of wondering where I was going to sit I knew where I wanted to be. "I'm staying here and there's nothing you can about it Marlene." She stared for a moment and the said "Fine." and left with Lily and Alice.

I let out a big breath I didn't even know I had and turned to Eve. "Did you say something?" she sat there just looking at me then said. "Yes, I'm sorry. I didn't know it would spiral like this." I nodded then started getting piles and piles of food.

They were all still staring at me though. "What?" I asked. then all at once they said "Nothing." and began getting there food too. I ate my food almost like a cave man then Wood walked over. I suspected he wanted to talk to Eve because every guy who came over here did but he didn't.

Instead, he said something to me. "I already told you! We don't need a fat beater either." I looked up at him raising my eyebrows. The rest of the guys looked at him like he was insane and Eve shook her head as if to tell him that that was a bad idea. But of course he didn't get the hint.

"What?" he asked "We do this all the time." at that I set my knife and fork down and wiped my face with my napkin. "Wood, this isn't a good time. Please go." he looked confused but left anyways. Oh God did I feel ridiculous.
