Chapter 43

-Eve's POV-

Jade storms up the stairs and I look at the marauders feeling defeated.

"Remus. " I say, fighting hard to keep my voice steady. "I'm really sorry it just kinda seemed-" he cuts me off.

"It's okay. I know what you were thinking and to be honest I was slightly thinking it too."

"I'll be right back" I mutter as I walk away as tears begin to stream down my face, not wanting them to see me crying.

I walk off into the library and sit at a table and put my head down on it, letting the tests fall on the hard, smooth surface. I hear someone sit beside me and lift up my head to see Sirius.

"Go away. I don't want to talk to anyone."I sniff and look at him pleadingly.

"C'mon love, jade's just mad, she'll get over it."

"But what if she doesn't? She probably hates me right now. And the only one of the marauders I can talk to is you and I'm betting you won't want to talk about girly stuff with me." He plants a kiss on my forehead.

"If you need to talk, about anything, you know that I'll be there to listen"

That causes me to smile a bit.

"Well I'm going to go wash my face. I probably look like raccoon."

"An adorable raccoon" he replies, making me smack him.

I walk back to the common room, unsure whether or not to go into my dormitory or not because the four demons will be there. I decide eventually that I will go up there even though Sirius assures me I look fine.

I walk up there and when I'm about to grab my makeup bag from my trunk I notice a piece of paper taped to the curtain of my bed. I look at it and see there's just one word written writing on it, over and over again.
