The Marauder Girls (Book 1)

Chapter 46

-Eve's POV-

I scream in frustration and desperation. I see many people'a heads turn in my direction but I don't care, not this time.

I run up to the Gryffindor common room and search for my broom. I hear the marauders talking "wait woah woah woah!" James exclaims "why was I not told about this?" I hear Sirius mutter something but I can't tell what.

"Eve!" I hear James laugh. "Why was I not told you and Padfoot got it on?"

I grab my broom and hit him with it. As I walk away I say "just fuck off!" And head down to the quidditch pitch.

I skip all my classes for the rest of the day and fortunately nobody comes to get me. But, too soon, it get dark and I'm forced to come in.

I put my broom up and grab my wand and practice different spells. I make things soar into the wall and grow and shrink and change colors.

Soon McKinnon, Evans, Lightfeather, and Jade come into the dormitory. I jump up and just walk off, ignoring them.

I sit in the common room alone now, twirling my wand around and around. I hear a voice behind me "Eve? Can I talk to you?" Sirius asks.

"What?" I snap.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have put you on the spot like that." He sits down next to me but I shy away from him.

"You shouldn't have done that! You know Jade's mad at me anyway! Can't you give me peace!"

"Eve..."

"No Sirius go!"

"Why can't we talk about this?"

"Because! It was a stupid reckless thing that happened. It shouldn't have happened."

"So you're embarrassed of me?"

"Yes. It was stupid and I don't want anyone to know."

"Fine. I just thought that since I'm your boyfriend you wouldn't be embarrassed."

"You're right."

His face lights up.

"I think we need a break" then I leave him sitting in the common room, alone and mad.
