-Eve's POV-
"Hey Padfoot." I mutter, not making eye contact. "Hi." He's purposefully doing the same. "So uh...we're just gonna go..." Jade says. "James here has some Lily stalking to do." James laughs "plus you could cut the sexual tension in here with a knife" earning him a glare from Jade and I. She looks at me and I plead with my eyes for her to stay. She discretely shakes her head and the four of them walk off.
"So..." He murmurs, glancing at me at the same time I sneak a peek at him. I quickly break eye contact and say "I'm just gonna go.." He catches my hand and looks straight into my eyes. "Eve. I don't want to go on like this. One minute we're joking around and the next we can't meet each other's eyes." I look away from him before answering. "I panicked okay?! I don't know what we are and I don't know what I want us to be!" I say, eyes darting around the room. He lifts my chin with his index finger. "We can be whatever you want, love. I just can't take the silence, the separation, the tension." He's basically pouring his heart out to me in front of the whole school, we're still in the great hall. "Eve, I swear if you don't kiss him I might!" A feminine voice says. I look to see that it was Lily Evans that screamed that. Sirius and I look at each other and burst into hysterics. "Well...we wouldn't want to do that to old Prongs would we?" I laugh. He shakes his head and leans in, making our lips touch.
Jade's POV
We walk down the hall and chat a bit before we arrive at the commons. "I swear, their relationship is like a bad romance novel." said James. I laugh. "They need to get their emotions together. I'm starting to freak out." Remus laughs. "Plus, we need to talk about something else." I smile.
I see a bunch of boys from quidditch heading our way holding their brooms, Tyler at the front of them. "Hey Jade!" he says brightly, stopping in front of us and stopping the crowd. Remus's hand squeezes mine tightly. "Hey, Wood. What's up?" he looks back at the boys as he says "The guys and I weren't busy and decided to practice dome quidditch. Want to join?" my face lit up. Finally, something else to do for once. "Yes! Let's go!" I exclaimed. "Don't you want to get your broom?" asked Wood. "Nah, I'll use one of the extras they have at the pitch."
I try to shift over to the quidditch team group but Remus's hand has a firm grip on mine. I squeeze it reassuringly and he hesitantly lets go. "Nice going by the way, what you did to Erie. I heard he broke a rib!" exclaimed Wood. I laughed. "I don't know about that, but he's pretty beaten up." he wrapped his arm around my shoulder as a hug, causing Remus to tense, then let go. "Well, it was still outstanding. Gave me and the guys a good laugh." "The guys and me." I corrected. He laughed. "Okay, I'll keep it noted." we walked onto the quidditch pitch and I took one of the spare brooms. "Let's play."
