Jade's POV
I walk down to breakfast with Eve. It's not that I didn't want to see Remus, i just thought that he didn't want to see me. "Eve, did you have to wear that shirt? I can see your guaze." she looks down at her normal sized shirt and tried to pull it down. I wished she would've worn a super long shirt. Maybe even a dress. Why this? We didn't need people come and asking what happened.
"I'm sorry. I don't have anything longer." she whispered. We sat down at the table before Remus and Sirius get there. A couple of seconds later They show up.
Remus sits next to me and holds my hand. Thank God he doesn't hate me. He kissed my cheek then whispered in my ear "None of this is your fault. It's no ones fault." tears start welling up in my eyes but I keep them down.
I squeeze his hand to show that I understand. I hear someone say "Hey." and I turn around. It was Wood talking to Eve. I still couldn't fathom that they were friends. "Woah, what happened?" no. No no no. He was pointing at the guaze peeking out of her shirt.
"Why are you looking there anyway Wood?" I got defensive. "Oh Jade, why are you so hostile towards me? Can we not be friends?" I laugh a little. "No, because you're you. And stop going after Eve. She's with Sirius if you hadn't noticed."
Wood rolls his eyes at me and starts talking to Eve again. "So what happened?" Eve was quiet. Trying to come up with an excuse I imagine, when finally she says "I fell and landed in some broken glass."
Wood looks at her questioningly. "Where?" I start talking to help Eve out. "The commons room. She was holding a little glass box when she fell. Is there anything else you want Wood?" he rolls his eyes again. "Okay. Just remember we have a game tomorrow. Will you be able to play?"
I look at Eve, urging her to say no. But if course her love of quidditch gets in the way. "Of course. I'll be there." Wood nods and says "Good. See you there. You too Jade." I smile and give him a small wave goodbye. Oh Eve... Why must you love quidditch so much?
