Chapter 55

-Eve's POV-  

Josh and I start walking around the grounds. "I really am sorry about Sirius" I murmur and he grins "like I said, its not your fault he's still in love with you." 

I sigh "I know....but it's hard because he was of my best friends and now I can't hang out with any of them since he's there" 

He wraps his arm around my shoulder "it'll be alright, I swear"  

I laugh a bit "are you sure you're in Slytherin? Not Hufflpuff?"  

He starts laughing. "I'm positive, love. You just haven't seen the real me yet..." 

"Oh so I should be scared?" I ask, laughing.  

He grins evilly "not just scared, terrified." 

I laugh. "Well I need to go talk to Jade a bit more and thank her, so I'll see you tomorrow?" I ask.  

"Yeah"  

"Great" I peck his cheek and run back off into the castle.

Jade's POV

I'm about to go talk to Sirius when someone spins me around. Eve. "Hey, I just wanted to thank you for handling Sirius before anything really bad happened." I gave a weak smile. "You're welcome. Someone has to when James is no where to be found." she smiled. "Well, I've got to go. I'll talk to you later." I smiled and she ran off.

I searched the corridors a bit then went into the commons. I found him there, alone sitting in a chair. "Hey." I said. He looked up and scowled. "What do you want?" I sat down in the chair beside him. "I want to talk to you." he still didn't say anything. "Sirius, you can't just try to hex everybody that you don't like." "That's not what I'm doing." he muttered still looking at the ground. "Then what exactly are you doing?" "I'm hexing anyone who is keeping Eve away from me." I sighed. Does he not understand that Eve is the one keeping him away? "No matter how many boyfriends you keep Eve away from, she won't go out with you." he was still looking at the ground and muttered "I can try." at that I stood up.

"Sirius! Don't you understand I'm trying to help you! I have done everything I could to keep you out of trouble and in school and you're taking it for granted!" I'm yelling but I don't care. He hasn't appreciated anything I've done for him. "I didn't ask for your help." he muttered. "How can you be so selfish?! I'm not just keeping you in this school for your sake! I'm doing it for the Marauders. Yes, I'm trying to help you with your education that you'd obviously just drop if it wasn't for me, but I'm doing this for them! And for me. I love you like a brother, Sirius! I don't want to lose you." and I ran into my room before I cried in front of anyone.
