Emily's POV
Date story took place: 9/29/10
Age: 13
The next day, Ethan and I were the new rave through out school. Ethan posted a picture of us together on Instagram with all the balloons in the background. It obviously had a caption about me saying yes to homecoming and stuff. He was the first guy in the seventh grade to ask a girl to homecoming this year. So when he posted that picture of us, I think a lot of guys got the courage to ask someone.
"Caleb, you need to find yourself a girl because before you know it all the cute ones will be taken." He nudged him with his shoulder.
Caleb gave me a quick glance and then returned back to his lunch.
"Don't rush me, Ethan." He replied with an attitude.
"It sorta sucks that you missed out on getting the hottest girl in the school." Ethan continued. "I got the privilege to go with her this year." He smirked at me.
My eyes widened and I turned red. First of all, I didn't expect Ethan to call me hot and second, I had a problem with him calling me hot.
"Yeah, it sorta sucks that she had to go with such a dumb-" Caleb started but I cut him off before he could finish the rest of the word he was going to call Ethan.
"So who are you planning on asking?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
He just shrugged his shoulders. "It doesn't matter. The girl I was going to ask is already going with someone." He shot Ethan a glare and got up and threw his stuff away. I continued to stare at his empty seat.
He was going to ask me.
