I woke up late the next morning, really not in the mood to start my day, but slowly showered and slipped into a black pant suit, thinking about what I was going to do to help Tony figure out what was going on.

After our heated conversation, and on the way home last night, I decided I would dedicate my time trying to find out who, why, how and when these weapons were shipped, even if JARVIS and I had to hack into every board members mainframe and/or Pentagon, to get the information I needed.
I'd decided a long time ago I would stick by Tony's side, Pep and I both did, he sure as hell didn't make it easy on either of us through the years, but now that he was trying to change, I wasn't going to abandon him, even when it seemed like everyone else had. We promised each other a few years ago, during a late night in his lab, to always support each other, and be honest with one another, and that's exactly what I was going to do.

Two Years Ago

"You do know that I'm a little strange, and I'm not good at this, pff, neither are you, but I've never lost faith in you, I think you're kinda awesome, in a rich fratboy kinda way," I snickered, and leaned against one of his desks as he paced his lab, "so do what you think you need to, and I'll stand next you."
"That's because you think I'm hot, and you have a crush on me, admit it?!" He exclaimed sarcastically, but met my eyes with a wariness, "this weapon can change the game (y/n)..." he sighed, and spread the design of the new missile he had already started building.
"I'm sure every weapon developer says that about their work, but like I said, war's not gonna stop because you built this, it didn't stop after we bombed Hiroshima, just upped the anty," I shrugged, as he rolled his eyes, "war's been a stain on humanity since we learned how to walk upright, and you're a moron if you think one missle's gonna change that."
"Do you have to be so goddamned sensical all the time, can't you just say wow that looks cool?" He whined, and turned off the screen.
"History major, and fighter pilot, remember, and it doesn't take a goddamn genius to see the constant loop humanity's in," I yawned.
"Speaking of that, were you planning on using those degrees, I'm still a little confused as to why you picked those subjects when you clearly have a knack for tech too," he mumbled, and parked himself next to, "no lie though, it is kinda hot when I hear you speaking German, or French, but history, and Lit?"
"You're a dumbass, but I really haven't decided yet if I actually want to do something with my degrees, I guess I could go back to school, and become a professor, or become another liaison," I mused, and watched a flicker of fear pass over his face, "I was kidding Tony, besides you know how much I hate wearing suits.."
"Oh good, I kinda like having you around, but you kinda annoy me too," he smirked, and nudged my shoulder.
"The feelings mutual, but I give you my word I'll stand by you, through whatever you need me too, friends do that Tony," I scoffed, and headed for the glass doors.
"I don't have many friends, or people that I trust, but I guess you made it, congrats," he stated sarcastically, but cleared his throat, "I guess I should also make that statement to you, about the whole being there thing, but you're gonna have to tell me outright, I barely notice what I'm eating in the morning, let alone if something's bothering you.."
"Pfff, yah cause I don't suffer from the same hard headedness as you do," I laughed, and sent him a wink, "I'm not much of a sharer though, but you've been able to get a few things out of me..my mom and dad, the accident," I added and cleared the lump from my throat, "get some sleep Tony..and I'll meet you in the gym in the morning."
