"Don't wake her up, or I'll kill you," Tony whispered, as he approached Natasha. She had opened (y/n) door when she didn't answer JARVIS'S call nor her knocking.
"It's two o'clock in the afternoon," Natasha stated, noticing (y/n) still asleep in a mess of sheets, "this is the most she's slept since she left the med-wing, and it's about time you shelved your ego, even if it was just for a little while."
Tony flipped her off, and perched himself on the door jam. He may have shelved his ego during their discussion, but he was still reeling from it.

"I told Natasha to wait, but I think we've found the sceptor," Bruce announced quietly, grinning at how wrinkled Tony's clothes were, and his mess of brown hair.
"You found it? Then let's get to work, get Cap and have him meet me in the lab," Tony rushed out, and tilted his head at Natasha, "let her sleep."

Three Hours Later

"Hmmm?" I mumbled groggily, trying to force my heavy eyes open.

"Everyone is upstairs with Dr. Banner, and Captain Rogers," JARVIS answered, "shall I get one of them for you?"

"No, it's fine JARVIS, thank you," I replied groggily, giving up on opening my eyes.
I let our conversation from late last night playback, taking into consideration everything he said, and how he said it. I was still wary, but he was going to give me time, give us time, and that's all I needed. Of course how he was going to give me that time or what he was going to do during that time was a little scary, because this was Tony Stark, and subtlety wasn't exactly a strong point, but I would deal with it.
Plus there was Pepper to think about, and even though she encouraged me forward, things just didn't work like that. There wasn't anyone else for me, there never would be, just him, but I wanted him to feel the same. I didn't want any secrets, or wondering if Pep was still there.
I was still scared, and may always be, but for the first time in a long time he caught me last night. He surrounded me with his presence and words, giving me a chance to break down, a chance to rely on someone other than myself. In my weakest hour, he held me up, and said everything he needed too, to make me understand his side. I just hope he understood mine.
I pulled the blankets back over my head and closed my eyes, for once smiling before I drifted back to sleep.

A few hours later

"HEY! Wake up, you missed training!" Nat's voice shrieked, just as the blankets were ripped away, "hey, you have clothes on still, well at least I know I can still sit on your bed."
I kept my eyes closed, and flipped her off, making a grab for the blankets.
"Uh uh, get up, it's past six already, and I'm hungry," she griped, falling down on my bed next to me.
"So... am I expected to feed you or something?" I growled, letting a small smirk play on my lips.
"No, but since Tony stopped acting like an asshole, and finally came out of the lab, Steve wants us all to have dinner in the common room, sort of a team building exercise, and you know what? Why is your bed more comfy than mine?" She paused, after climbing into my bed and lay down, "to hell with training and food, JARVIS, tell the boys, me and (y/n) are having our own team building exercise right here on this bed."
"Natasha! Jeez, the way you said that... You know they're all gonna come in here running, thinking we're doing stuff, naked pillow fights, or some shit," I quipped, still not moving.
"Pfff, but seriously, after your heart ro heart, did you guys do stuff in here, because I wanna get up if you did, but Jesus Christ this bed is so squishy, and soft, I wonder if I can get one in my room?" She giggled, and sprawled out.
"How did.... um no..not ready for sex, we just talked finally, after all the yelling, and him showing me just how jealous he is about you and stangely, Steve," I snickered, pulling the blankets back up, and covering both of us.
She turned towards me, and her red hair spilled over her smiling face. "That's not surprising. I told you before we went on our last mission he was jealous. I mean I know you and Steve are just friends, but then again, we're not the ones in love with you, like Tony is, and I like you and all, but just as a friend," she replied, nudging me, "plus Stark's crazy, but I'm glad you guys finally had a conversation, Tony was acting like a douche, more so than usual, so what's next, dates, long walks on the beach?"
