LA Next Day

"Okay, run this by me again, and explain the dots you're trying to connect here," Director Nicholas Fury demanded pointedly, and raised an eyebrow at both Coulson and Natasha, "and please tell me you left enough agents with Stark..that's all we need is our flight risk to take off again."
"Six agents are stationed inside, ten more outside, and before I left he was watching old home movies of his dad, he still seems to be doing that sir," Coulson replied patiently, and brought up video surveillance of (y/n), "but (Y/l/n)'s been missing since last night, we found her cell phone and credit card at the pub on Belleview Avenue. Surveillance videos show her walking in and about thirty-five minutes later being escorted out by Justin Hammer," Coulson reiterated for Natasha and Director Fury, "according to the bartender she had fifteen shots of high-end tequilla in the span of twenty-five minutes, by the time I received her phonecall, she was already extremely inebriated. I recommend we send Barton to watch Hammer, Clint arrived earlier this morning from his previous mission. What we do know is Hammer's in New York, he showed up early this morning according to the FAA, but there was no listing of any passengers. I don't think Hammer showing up at the same bar she happened to end up last night, is a coincidence, and until we get the autopsy results on Vanko, I wouldn't rule him out either," Agent Coulson added, worriedly, and cleared his face of emotion, but he was sure they all caught it.
(Y/n) was a prospective agent, and he believed with a little more training she could become a great one. It didn't matter if he occasionally thought about her since he danced with her quite a few months ago, she was a beautiful woman, with the brightest eyes he'd ever seen in his life.
Just spending a little time with her, he recognized the attention her presence commanded, and she seemed rather strong, aloof, but unyielding to the world. After all she'd been through, she had to be, including the latest drama with Stark.
It didn't take a scholar to hear the utter desolation in her voice when she called him and mentioned Tony's name on the phone, but it still didn't deter her from making the decision to finally come into SHIELD. Fury was still wayward about her, but if (y/n) could pull both him and Natasha in, so quickly, well, that was worth giving (y/n) a chance.
If they found her, before something happened..

Natasha looked over the video and glanced up at Coulson. He was worried, just as she was, and it startled her, to have that kind of feeling for someone she barely met a few weeks ago, but their relationship grew, and she actually liked (y/n).
There was a little bit of a kindred spirit there, similar to the one she found in Clint, but seeing her new friend on her knees in the middle of Tony's wrecked living room, as it began to shake, startled her.
It almost seemed like she could feel (y/n)'s pain, see it as her eyes darkened a few shades, and the glass began crinkling and cracking around them, bur before she could say or do something, (y/n) bolted like some skittish horse.
She was having a hard time believing what she saw, and Potts made no mention of it, so she stored it in the back of her mind, and kept it to herself.
She wanted to go after her, especially after the texts she sent went unanswered, but her and Potts spent the rest of the evening handling the party goers, and calling lawyers just in case someone sued.
She was actually kind of grateful Fury went ahead and blew her cover to Stark, once they located him sitting on top of some donut shop, in downtown L.A. He was pissed, but it made her feel a tad better, after what she saw last night.
