Coulson followed her and watched the muscles in her back and neck twitch with adrenaline, and an anger he'd never seen before, but he couldn't deny the sense of pride, he had for her as she stepped forward and delivered a perfect punch across Stark's manicured face, and a well placed front kick to his chest, knocking the billionaire to the ground.
It wasn't the appropriate way to solve the problem, but Stark deserved worse, after he let his petty jealousy rein free. Phil expected something like that from Stark, but he was still reeling from his conversation with Loki, and a few minutes later, the one he had with Stark, in the hall. It wasn't what he was focusing on, but it still forced a small rise out of him.

"'So are you two official, or is she still trying to get over me?"' Stark asked, and patted his shoulder as he walked out into the hall, "'she isn't, is she, over me?"'
"'I don't have time for this, or your jealousy, that's why you're really upset isn't it?'" Phil contended, refusing to get into an argument with the petulant billionaire.
"'No, I'm just surprised she settled, I never expected her to settle for just anyone,"' Stark scoffed through a smirk.
"'You seem to forget, I'm not just anyone,"' he growled, and forced his feet forward.

Their conversation made him angry, not only because in true Stark form he was semi right, but he had to make sure she stayed as far away as possible from Loki.
The more time went by, the more he believed in her fears, and he made himself a promise to let Fury know of her agitation. They were already fully aware of her vigilance and the obvious ability she had to read a situation and see outcomes they couldn't, but her agitation couldn't be ignored, not when her eyes flashed like a beacon, as if to warn them all.
If (y/n) did have some kind of ability, she was oblivious to it, at least in the way Loki spoke of it.
She briefly mentioned her grandmother, and the few words she said to her only granddaughter, but he was beginning to believe there was something more there, something happening to her none of them could explain. He'd noticed it become more pronounced since Thor, and it should be looked into, not ignored.
Her anxiety, and rage rolled off her, pushing at his skin like the heat from a hot day. He knew it wasn't coming from him, since he'd been an agent long enough to control his emotions, and wayward fears, leaving him with one other option, (y/n). She was oblivious to her ability, but her innate fear and confusion could be felt by all of them, especially Natasha, and Clint, who mentioned her fluctuations of panic and strange behavior at the JDE facility, but for now, they needed to concentrate on the job at hand, and hopefully it would give them more insight before it was too late, and her warnings came true.
She finally stopped near one of the large windows, and he leaned against the wall, waiting for her to calm down.

Goddamn him.
How dare he talk to me like that?! I didn't give a shit if I was gonna get written up, disciplined, enough was enough. The embarrassment and shame I felt, walking off the bridge, wafted off my skin, but it didn't take away from the absolute hurt bashing against my ribcage.
'Goddamn him.'
After everything we'd been through, and yet he had the audacity to say something like that to me, and Coulson, in front of the team. And to do it now?! Now, when we had real evil sitting not one hundred feet from us.
Besides, if Tony thought it was like that at all, then he wasn't the man I thought he was, or hoped he was, after all this time. Nothing had changed, he was still the petulant manchild he was when I met him, only difference now was that fucking suit.
I was more angry I couldn't fully let him go, and needed to, I had to, especially after what just happened.
I didn't need this, not now with everything else going on, and I berated myself at my lack of control, but I was falling under the immense weight.
