Inquiries, TV Dinners & Wandering - Chapter 42

[Narrator's P.O.V.]

Louis sat outside on a bench nearby his house. He was sitting, thinking, just letting his mind wander. He didn't know what else he could do. She didn't love him, so why keep fighting? If he couldn't have her, what was the purpose?

But then there was that voice at the back of his head telling him, "Go for her! Don't let Zayn win, you idiot! She belongs to you! You had her first!" Part of that was true. Perrie left Zayn to begin with, and she went to Louis. To Louis it seemed as though Zayn had only gotten back with her because he pitied her and the case she was in. Zayn wanted nothing to do with her until she was in that accident - that's what it looked like to Louis. Of course, he didn't truly know how Zayn actually felt about Perrie.

With a huff, Louis stood from his spot, dusting his shoulders and continuing down the sidewalk to his house. He remembered about the TV dinner he put into the oven. Strolling casually up his driveway, he opened his front door and went inside, walking into his delicately small kitchen. Pulling on oven mittens, he opened the stove door and pulled the meal from the oven, placing it atop of the burners. Smelling the delicious food made his stomach growl, and he hadn't noticed how hungry he was until this very moment.

It was still pretty dark outside, considering it was 4 AM in the morning when he'd gotten home, so this was dinner, which he had missed.

He plated his food, bringing the plate to his cold nose, which had probably been a tinted pink because of the cold weather. He ate in a peaceful silence, the only sound heard being the fork scraping against the plate as he scooped up some potatoes and gravy.

He took his phone from his pocket and sent the following message to Perrie.

You couldn't say that face-to-face? -...-
