Your eyes opened and you saw you were in an all black atmosphere. There was no beginning and there was no end. You looked around and saw nothing but darkness. Like an abyss. You suddenly heard chuckling echo from all around you. It was raspy, there was no warmth or kindness in it at all.
"My dear daughter." It was his voice. Your expression grew cold.
"Why are you here?" You called. Lightning sparked before he appeared from the darkness. "The hell are you? A bat?"
"It's been such a long time since I last saw you," he started, ignoring you. You sighed, continuing to glare at him.
"Alright, you've already conquered my dreams which are, or were, filled with gumdrops and lollipops, so what the fuck do you want?" You asked, already done with his shit. He started to walk around you. Like he was trying to intimidate you.
"I want you back on my side," he replied, circling around you like a predator watching its prey.
"Why?" You asked, keeping your eyes straight in front of you.
"Think of all the power we'll have. Of all the galaxies we'll conquer. You and I, along with the power of Voltron, will have nothing standing in our way," he replied while stopping in front of you. You looked up at him and held back a smirk.
"As tempting as it seems, I'll have to decline," you replied. His face darkened.
"Why? They don't know about your heritage, do they?" He asked, glaring at you.
"May or may not..."
"Hah! Do you think they would honestly accept you the way you are?" His demeanor changed.
"I can understand if Allura won't, but they wouldn't just throw me out like trash," you defended. #Foreshadowing (Edit: Bitch SHUT THE FUCK UP—)
"That's what you think, but watch. As soon as your little secret is revealed, they'll spit you out. You'll have no where to go, no one to be with, but just remember," he started, standing further away from you. "I welcome you back into the Galra with open arms."
"Whether or not they'll toss me out like you said, a million years will pass and I still won't be a part of the Galra." You took a step back from him.
"You're wrong. You are Galran. You have Galra blood flowing through you. You are Galra," Zarkon corrected.
"What I am doesn't matter. What matters is, I will never come running to you like my mother did," you corrected back.
"You'll regret that when I destroy your Paladin friends," he said, standing up straighter.
"You won't destroy them. I'll be there to protect them."
"That's the point. You won't be there," he countered before darkness consumed his body and he disappeared. You growled and looked down at the floor, doubt beginning to fill your head.
'The Galra have done terrible things. Will they really shove me with them?' You thought. The surrounding vicinity started to become hazy. Your sight began to lose focus and turn black.
On the outside, the Paladins were patiently waiting for you to wake up.
"It's been two days! Why hasn't she woken up yet?" Lance groaned, crashing to the floor dramatically.
"Calm down Lance, Y/n will wake up soon," Shiro replied.
"You said that yesterday," Lance retorted, slinging an arm over his eyes.
"Guys, did you notice something?" Pidge asked the group.
"What is it Pidge?" Keith asked. Pidge walked up to the pod and placed her hand on the glass.
"Well, you can barely see it, but Y/n is glowing a faint purple on her left side and a faint blue on her right," Pidge explained. The others walked up to the pod to see for themselves.
"You're right number six!" Coran exclaimed.
"But why?" Shiro asked.
"I don't know. I've never seen anyone glow in these before," Allura replied.
"What exactly caused Y/n to pass out?" Keith asked.
"Well, we thought it was a headache, and so did the pod, but I have a feeling it was something more," Coran replied.
"Okay, so what do we do about Y/n glowing?" Hunk asked.
"When Y/n wakes up we should ask her, but we should give her some space before that," Shiro advised. Keith looked at your sleeping face, as did everyone else.
"Y/n actually looks really pretty when she's not elbowing me," Lance said. Shiro and Keith glared at him.
"You're not getting any feelings for her, are you?" Keith asked, narrowing his eyes.
"Heh. Why do you care? Unless... you're jealous?" Lance asked, a smug smirk on his face.
"Of course I'm not. I'm just saying with the war with the Galra, there's no time for relationships," Keith smoothly replied, crossing his arms. Lance raised a brow at him with a small smirk.
"Mmmmm hmmmm," he hummed, not buying it.
"I'm serious!" Keith exclaimed.
"Guys, knock it off," Shiro ordered. Keith and Lance put some distance between them.
"Hey guys, Y/n's waking up!" Coran exclaimed. The others immediately looked at the pod. Your eyes slowly opened, both your eyes glowing their respective colors. The seven of them lightly gasped. The pod's door slowly went away and you now were fully conscious. You took one step out of the pod and placed a hand to your head.
"Woah, take it easy," Shiro said, walking up to support you.
"What in the hell... happened?" You muttered, looking up at all of them.
"You passed out. Coran and Allura said it was from a headache," Pidge replied.
"Oh..." You replied, standing up fully. Shiro's arm dropped to his sides.
"Y/n, what happened?" Allura asked.
"Why were you glowing?" Hunk added.
"What caused you to pass out?" Pidge added.
"Damn, chill! Give me a moment," you interrupted, taking a deep breath. "I really don't know. All I remember was I had a pounding headache, I really don't know what you're talking about, it was probably the headache. Anything else?"
"Why were you unconscious for two days?" Keith asked.
"Two days? I've been unconscious for two days?" You asked, looking at Shiro in surprised. He nodded.
"It felt like... a minute..." You breathed. The others looked at you in slight concern. "I saw... I saw someone..." You swallowinged
"Who did you see?" Coran asked. You sighed before confidently saying,
"Zarkon."
