And Then You Find Me.

Where were you?

When I needed you the most,

And things were just falling out of place?

Where were you?

When all I really needed was to talk,

And things would change?

You didn't call,
Not even to ask me how I am.

You lived your life,
Not a glance to see if I was okay.

You couldn't stay,
but I didn't need you to stay here anyway.

I just needed you,
To stick around and call me up when I'm feeling out of place.

I prayed to God,
To let someone answer the phone.

But you'd let it ring,
And I'm sorry now that there's no one home.

It's not your fault,
That you never came or I walked away.

It's not our fault,
But the halfway mark seemed pretty far.

Then I was done.

I was gone from the life that I never got.

So where were you,
Whenever I may have needed you the most?

You never came,
And then you found me there but it was all in vain.

So since you never came,
I think I'm sorry but I don't care either way.

Goodbye my friends,
And family, I know you'll be okay.

Cause when you find me there,
It'll hurt but you heal a little everyday.
