If you knew how close I was to my last day,
You'd probably watch the things you say.
Your words wouldn't be so mean,
Your mind would think before you speak.
You'd hold your tongue at times,
Be careful what you say.
Bite back all your words,
And swallow whatever hurts.
If you knew what I was going to do,
Then maybe you'd be different too.
