"I hate when people..."

It's been forever since I updated this, and I'm soooo sorry! I'm sure you would expect more updates since it's summer, but honestly I've either been on vacation or volunteering the past few weeks.

Basically this rant is going to be things I hate that people do on social media. It's a long list, so I'm just gonna name a couple things.

Cyber bullies:

When people are rude to other people online I get so mad, especially when there's no need for it. Honestly, some people are so immature they think the only way they can get their point across is by being mean. The worst part of this is that people think that since they can't see the person they are insulting online, they think it's totally okay to say whatever they want.

If someone is bullying you online, don't waste your precious time on them. Tell them simply to stop, and if they don't, either ignore them or block them. Above all, don't let them get to you. They're just wimps who couldn't say it to your face.

People on Instagram:

This is gonna sound like I'm so thirsty for likes on Instagram but I promise that's not the case. I just hate when people comment on my photos, but don't like them. Obviously, they liked the picture enough to comment something on it, why can't you just double-tap it as well? I don't know this is something that just really annoys me lol.

(Please consider that i only have a personal account on Instagram so likes aren't even a huge deal for me. This is just something that I find irritating)

*i don't give out my instagram on here*

Tumblr/Instagram/Facebook etc. posts about wanting to be skinnier

Okay, this posts upset/annoy me for a number of reasons.

First of all, the reason that should be obvious but clearly isn't, is that everyone is beautiful! And some of you may be sick of hearing this, but clearly it isn't being said enough because people still don't believe it.

You should never feel like you need to change something about yourself. Everyone here who is reading this right now is so beautiful!!! I don't even need to see you to know. I can tell from all the positive energy that you all are beautiful from the inside out.

Okay, so reason one explained how there was no need for these posts. Onto to reason two.

These posts can trigger people that struggle with eating disorders.

I recognize that not all the people who post these thinspo things have an eating disorder, however I think it's fair to suspect that a lot of them do.

But imagine this: A young girl who is battling anorexia is going online. She has received medical assistance from her doctor and support from her family and is on the path to recovery. She decides to go online to see what's been going on while she's been receiving treatment.

The first post she sees is one about a girl wishing she had a thigh gap.

Don't you see how detrimental this post could be for this young girl? This could be enough to trigger her and back pedal all the treatment she's gone through so far.

I'm gonna stop here, but please, think before you post. You don't realize who you could be hurting.

I think I'm going to end this here. I certainly haven't mentioned everything, but these are the main things.

I hope you all are having a lovely summer vacation, and I hope to update more soon!
