On my way to college today, I realised that I had forgotten my ID. My college is not strict but the watch guards will never allow you in if you do not have your ID card on you.

So I had to ditch the back end and walk the entire way to the front of the building. I knew I would get caught up before entering the campus so I tired to call my friends and ask them to lend me their ID cards. They had already entered the building and the guards had seen them so it wouldn't make sense for them to ask that person everytime they enter the campus during the day.

But they were busy so taking their advice, I entered from the non-main entrance of the campus and viola, I was in! Apparently the guard had been changed and she wasn't informed about the whole checking-the-IDs-before-entering-the-campus thing. Or I guess she just didn't give two shits about it. Works for me tho!;)

So before classes, I had to meet someone for some sort of career guidance. I'm shameless so even after getting that template (and a shameful message) from dad, I still haven't started my career research. I told the faculty that and she suggested me to first decide the country I would want to pursue further studies in, then look for good Universities there and compare the syllabus of the course that seems the most interesting and useful to me. Since I am looking at UK more than US, she suggested me to look for Universities in Ireland because that's where a lot of industries have shifted after the Brexit and I would also get a work experience there and their degree would be counted in India as well. I could also look at IIMs in India but we all know how difficult it is to get in so we'll see about that.

I also had to meet another another faculty member (I guess she is now our program director since the previous one left). And you know what did she tell me? That I have been selected to give a presentation on my internship in front of parents when they have their town hall on the 5th of September. WHEN WILL THIS INTERNSHIP LEAVE ME ALONE?! I'm honestly surprised because I hadn't submitted the new report. Maybe the professor really liked my experience and found it genuine? It's a good thing to be selected but ummm... my stage fright has woken up now and that's never been a good sign for me.

Thankfully, we only have to speak for about 2 mins. Even though it is still a lot, its at least better than the 10+ mins one during vivas. I'll prepare for this over the weekend.

So today my group of friends were going to surprise one of our friends for her birthday (that is tomorrow). She is one of those people who gets really really excited whenever her birthday is around the corner, reminding everyone to wish her days before her birthday and getting offended when someone says that they won't do so. Last year, she had even made a video for this purpose. LOL! She is just too extra in life. Anyways, so she had been trying to get us to tell her whether they will visit her house or what kind of gifts are we going to give her. We had to be really careful today and not let her get even the faintest of hints that we were going to visit her today.

Since we all had decided to meet near her place by around 3, one of my friends and I ate a little at our resident canteen. When she went to get her food, something interesting happened to me. Someone kinda sorta confessed to me that he (used to) like me.

Okay, so here's the background. A couple of years ago, when I was still in school, Alex, Parker and I went to stay with Aunt P and Stella in Pune like we used to. But this time, since their house was under renovation, they had rented an apartment in a complex which was in the other part of the town. In that complex, we befriended these group of people and honestly had A GREAT time! We would go for treks, swim, play and just have a lot of fun in general. But then Aunt P shifted back to the old house. We anyways started visiting Pune very rarely and the few times that we did, we didn't get the chance to go to that complex again.
