We finally had our townhall today.

But before that we had our IAPM test. Since I was only able to properly go through 1 chapter out of 4, I tried going through my notes as the last resort. Our test began and boy did I feel incompetent. It was just MCQs but they were so confusing! I really need to buck up. My academics were supposed to be good this year.

We immediately got our marks after the test. In fact that professor displayed everyone's scores for everyone else to see. He frankly told us that it would have been difficult to score above 75%. Only one guy scored in the 90s. The rest were below 75. Mine score was 55, which he termed as an above average score. It relieves me to see that I have a scope to do better and I'm not completely hopeless in this class like I had thought I was these past few weeks.

Having said that, I know I should be aiming for and getting scores much higher than this.

After the test, we had our Townhall in the other building, where we studied in our first year. It felt nostalgic to be back in that room even though it was just two years ago. We are the first graduating batch after all and we're graduating in this academic year. We're not going to able to see all of this a year from now.

Anyways, it was a pretty rushed townhall and they only focused on higher studies abroad. The placement cell isn't even in place! How disappointing!

(Yes I noticed the pun but it's a pretty serious topic).

They guaranteed us placements and both of us will be in deep shit if we don't get our desired jobs.

Oh I forgot one thing in the middle, which I'm hope I'm not still pondering over. So my friends and I went downstairs to the road side stalls during our short break and somehow the conversation turned towards marriage. I did say one or two words but then I guess I got uncomfortable and didn't contribute much. Somehow Gurtley caught on to it and asked me why I was so zoned out.

Let's just say now all of these people know that I am shit scared of marriage. I didn't want them to but they do.

Anyways, I came back home after the townhall and after lunch and watching a video, I decided to finally FINALLY work on my planning my future. I mentally went though everything that I learnt ever since I joined the Commerce/Accounts/Finance route and listed things that I am more interested in. Then I researched about CFA and MBA and the job prospectives and that I can pursue. I spent my entire afternoon researching until a point where I thought I seriously needed a break.

It's not at all easy to decide your career path and I just wanted to do something totally different for a while before getting back to my research, even though it has takte me forever to finally start my research.

Yesterday, while studying Finance, I had downloaded a couple of movies and one of them was 'To All Boys I Have Loved Before'. I have heard about this movie quite a lot and since I am so out of the loop with everything recently, I decided to watch that movie.

It was... an okayish movie. I haven't seen a cliché movie (or any movie {other than the Marvel ones} for that matter) in a while so I guess it was a good break but no, I could have found better ones. Nonetheless, I went back to my research after that.

Today was just Day 1 of my research so I still haven't come to any conclusions yet. But I can't think any more for now. Tomorrow I'll continue looking for which good colleges in my country or abroad offer MBA degrees and what are the requirements for their admission. Then I have to research on the various entrance Exams (and CFA), their portion, no of attempts, fees, training centres, attempt dates and all of that.

Today in the townhall, they told us that if we're interested in placements, then we are supposed to tell them our preferred sector and company so I have to research on that as well. An MBA degree needs work experience.

My final goal is to have my options and their entire routes ready.

I have applied to become a research assistant for our Corporate Finance professor and since there are 9 others who have applied as well, each of us has to send her a write up about what we think and understand about the topic and how can we help her with the research paper. We're supposed to send it by day after tomorrow so I would like to start my research tomorrow and submit my stuff tomorrow itself. I really hope I'm one of the 2 who get selected.

After dinner, I noticed that someone uploaded the second episode of Bon Voyage Season 3! Bless your soul! So I watched it. Goodness I had an hilarious time watching it. In this episode, the 6 of them played a game to choose their rooms. The game was that each person would enter whichever room they wanted but the others cannot see what the others chose (unless they chose the same room). Those who choose the same room would be roomies. And it doesn't matter if 3-4 or all 6 people enter the same room. They would have to figure out their sleeping position in that room somehow.

I had first seen NCT play it and it was really fun watching so I was excited to see BTS play it. To my (and probably Jimin's) disappointment, they all appropriately chose in such a way that there was no extra person in any room. Currently Jungkook has a room all to himself while Jimin, Jin and Suga will share one room. And ofcourse the 94 liner duo will share the third room (Hoseok seemed to be disappointed lol. I guess RM still hasn't solved his snoring problems).

In the evening, they went for a boat ride and had their own little party there. They all seemed a little less enthusiastic but I guess they were all tired with all that traveling. Jin and Jimin did brighten things up with their hilarious Titanic pose fail. Apparently it's been their tradition since the first season of Bon Voyage.

I loved the fact that they sent Taehyung a video message cause they missed having him around. Speaking of, we finally saw Taehyunggggg! He will join them very soon and I hope they show us his journey just like they did in season 1.

Anyways, the next day, they went sight seeing in pairs: RM and Jhope, Jin and Suga, Jimin and Jungkook.

JK and Jimin were SO HILARIOUS at that restaurant!! I couldn't stop laughing when they got all confused with the locals' English! They nailed their order tho! "Together BAM!"😂😂😂😂

I have been in an optimistic and good head space since today afternoon. It kinda feels like the time before and during my exams. I like that. I hope I continue this momentum.
