Elena was severely annoyed. For months now her and [name] had been working around their feelings for each other. They would kiss, go out alone together, have sex and yet they still didn't have a label.
Every time she tried to bring it up, he would change the subject and avoid the topic all together. She knew he had feelings for her but she didn't know why he acted like this.
She had gone over to his house to confront him about it, "you cant avoid it forever! Just tell me the truth! What am I to you? A girlfriend, a friend, friends with benefits? I can't take not knowing anymore."
[name] frowned, sitting down on his bed. "I don't know Elena. What's the point of us to become official when every other day you're with Stefan or Damon? Two vampires who are in love with you. I'm not going to let myself fall for you when you could chose to be with either of them."
"I don't have feelings for them!" That was a lie. She did have feelings for them but they were nothing compared to the feelings she had for [name]. "I want to be with you. That's not going to change because of them."
"I've had my heart broken before. When Bonnie decided that she wanted to be with Jeremy instead of me and I'm not going to go through that again. It's not worth it."
"I won't hurt you like she did. I told you that before we even started hooking up." Her voice raised frustratingly.
"And she said the same thing. You can't help who you love Elena. I don't blame her for choosing Jeremy and I wouldn't blame you for choosing one of the Salvatore's. It's just the way the world works, I guess."
Elena clenched her fist in anger. It seemed like nothing she said would make him feel any better. "What can I can to make you trust me?"
"It's not about trust because I do trust you." He replied. "I just believe that you'll end up with one of them."
"Fine! If you're going to act like this than there's nothing I can do about that, right?" Elena snapped. "I'm not going to give up on us. No matter what you say because I'm in love with you."
[name] widened his eyes at her deceleration.
She sure was determined. He didn't want to believe what she said just yet. He didn't want to get hurt again. "Thank you for not giving up on us." He stood up and walked over to her. "But like I said, I want you to figure out your feelings for the Salvatore's before you commit to me. Please... once you do that... I'm all yours."
