He walked into the room, looking at his lover with tired eyes. "What are you still doing up? It's like three a.m. Seriously, L, you need some sleep." [name] spoke as he walked over to him and started playing with a stray piece of the dark black hair. "How are you still awake right now?"
"I'm so close to proving that Light is Kira. I know he is. I just have to prove it." L rambled, staring at the computer screen with squinted eyes, though when arms wrapped around him, he leaned back and sighed tiredly. "He's getting more cocky. I know he won't hurt me, not yet at least but... I can't let him hurt you."
"He doesn't even know I exist. You've kept me hidden away pretty well." He laughed, kissing the top of L's head. "I'll be fine but you won't be if you keep neglecting your sleep. So..." He put his arms underneath L's and lifted him up. "I'm taking you to bed."
"Hey..." L trailed off which was followed by a deep yawn as [name] basically carried him into the bedroom and placed him on the bed. "I'm never gonna get my work done if I keep doing as your saying."
He laughed and lied down next to L, pulling him into his arms so L's head was lying on his chest. Their usual position when they slept. He was always the big spoon. "You work yourself to much."
"I don't want Light to hurt anymore people. I'm the only one that can stop him. The only one that can keep up with his sick game." L said bluntly, tracing patterns on his boyfriends chest as he felt his eyes start to slowly close but quickly re-opened them as if he had to keep himself awake.
"You'll get him. I know you will. You always get the bad guy." Not many people believed L when he said Light was Kira but [name] believed him all the way. L was always right when it came to these things and he trusted him. L was extremely smart and you'd be an idiot not to agree with him. "He can't do this forever."
"He would if he could." L was always worried that Light would find out about his lover, knowing he would use him to get to him or even worse... kill him. He had to lock Light away before that could happen. [name] was right though, L had been doing an amazing job at hiding him away. He always thought ten moves ahead when it came to him. He hadn't even wanted [name] to come with him, fearing for his life but his lover was persistent and wanted to come.
The deal was that he could come as long as he did everything L said and wouldn't mind having to stay in the hotel most days, not being allowed to leave. At first it sounded stupid and he wasn't going to take the deal but he realised just how dangerous Kira was and he would have to be careful. So he agreed.
He went stir crazy some days but it was all worth it when L came home and laid his head in [name]'s lap. He just couldn't wait until this was all over and they could go home. He knew L would catch Kira. He always caught the bad guys. [name] wasn't worried... if he only he knew what the future held and what exactly would happen.
