Midoriya stared at the guy who used to be his best friend. They had grown apart ever since they had come to U.A and the green haired hero was trying to think of a way they could become friends again.

He rested his chin on the palm of his hand and sighed. They were in class at the moment and no matter how hard he tried to concentrate, he just couldn't. Not when he had [name] on his mind.

As Aizawa talked lazily from the front of the class, eyes on the board, [name] was discreetly passing notes back and forth with Kirishima, the spiky red haired male grinning wildly when he read.

Midoriya frowned and looked down at his table. It wasn't fair. Why was he always thinking about [name] but [name] wasn't thinking about him? He had already moved on and got himself a new best friend. He acted as if he and Midoriya had never even talked before.

An idea came to his mind and he ripped off a piece of paper from his book, lifting up his pencil and pressing down on the white sheet. Can we talk after class please? He wrote in his near hand writing before scrunching it up. He made sure Aizawa wasn't looking before tossing the paper ball over, it landing directly on [name]'s desk.

[name] looked down at it in surprise before picking up up and opening it. His eyebrows furrowed and he looked around the room. That's when Midoriya realised that he hadn't wrote his name on it, so [name] had no idea who had thrown the paper. He sat up slightly and waved his hands back and forth, catching the other males attention. He pointed at the note then at himself and [name] nodded, eyebrows still furrowed.

His waving had caught the grumpy teachers attention and Aizawa looked at him in boredom, "do you have a question Midoriya?"

"N-No sir! Sorry. There was a bug." He stuttered out the lie, his face going red when the class laughed at him. He leaned down and his his face in the desk in embarrassment.

Class finished soon later and Midoriya waited outside the classroom, clutching his books to his chest as he waited for his old best friend. Loud laughter was heard as as [name] walked out with Kirishima, obviously talking about something hilarious.

[name] halted in walking when he caught sight of the green haired boy. He pursed his lips and turned to Kirishima. "I'll catch up with you later." He said, patting him on the back. He and Kirishima waved goodbye to each before he leaned against the wall, looking straight into Midoriya's eyes. "What's up broccoli?"

"Um, ha, I was, um, actually hoping- do you-" Midoriya couldn't stop stuttering and he frowned in annoyance, trying to collect his thoughts. [name] just looked more confused but he was waiting patiently, which Midoriya was really glad about since he was taking so long to say a simple sentence.

"Hey, Midoriya. Calm down. You look like you're about to have a panic attack." He barely rested his hands on top of Midoriya's shoulders, as if his hands weren't even there in the first place. "Is something wrong?"

"No! Nothings wrong. I just..." It sucked that it was so hard to talk to someone who used to be his best friend. "Have lunch with me!" He demanded, his face paling soon after as he realised how harsh he sounded. "I-I mean, if you want to. W-We used to eat together all the time. So, I was wondering if you wanted to have lunch together."

"Is that it?" [name] laughed loudly, his hands off Midoriya's shoulders and on his stomach as he laughed. "You were about to have a heart attack because you wanted to have lunch with me? Broccoli, you need to chill."

Midoriya stayed silent. "You don't want to..." He trailed off with sadness.

"I didn't say that." [name] shook his head and wrapped an arm around Midoriya's shoulders, pulling him roughly into his side, a thing he used to do all the time when they were best friends. "Course I'll have lunch with you."

Midoriya let out a deep breath he didn't know he had been holding in. "Thank you."

"No need to thank me." They slowly made their way to where they would be eating. "Why were you freaking out about asking me? Do I scare you or something? Is that why you stopped being friends with me?"

"Hold on. I stopped be friends with you?" Midoriya stopped their walk, looking at him with wide, shocked eyes. "You were the one who stopped being friends with me."

That got [name]'s attention. The boy narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms. "Um. That's not what happened. You got other friends so I made other friends but the only reason I made other friends was because of you making other friends. You understand?"

"Uh, you didn't just make other friends. You completely ditched me! Every time I tried to spend time with you, you would say you were busy with Kirishima. Then you stopped replying to my texts and calls." Midoriya had anger in his eyes. "Yeah, I made other friends but you were the one who ended our friendship!" He ended his rant with a large breath. "Wait... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to snap at you-"

"No. You're right." [name] looked as if he just been told pigs fly. "I-I guess I was so jealous of you being with other people, I cut you off because I didn't want to deal with it... oh my... I am such a dick!" He brought his hands up to his head. "Why do you even want to be friends with me again? I suck." He pouted.

Midoriya shook his head, grabbing the other males hands that were in tight fists. "You don't suck. Don't say that about yourself. It was both of our fault."

Even though [name] knew that wasn't true, he smiled and nodded his head, just happy that they could talk again. "Wait, won't Uraraka be upset if you don't sit with her?"

"Why would she be upset?"

"...because she's your girlfriend?"

Midoriya took in a sharp breath and whipped his head over to him. "She's not my girlfriend! She's just a friend! I don't see her that way."

"Okay, okay." [name] held up his hands with a small smile. "That's good." He put his arm back around Midoriya's shoulders and they started walking again.

"Wait. What do you mean good?"

[name] shrugged with a smirk, "because I know someone who will be very happy about that... me."

Midoriya blushed brightly and looked at the ground, another giddy smile spreading across his lips.
