"How could you do this to me? I thought you loved me you fucking ass hole!" [name] yelled, ripping his arm out of his now ex boyfriends grip. He had only been coming over to spend time with him but instead he walked in on Archie having sex with Veronica.

He had trusted the redhead with all his heart so the fact that this had happened came as a complete surprise. He looked over at Veronica with narrowed eyes. They had never been friends.

They hadn't liked each other at all actually but he had never worried about her doing this. "You better be careful Lodge. If he cheats on me, what makes you think he will be faithful to you?"

He raised his eyebrows at her, noting her reaction. She looked down at the bed with a hint of shame. He scoffed at that. Archie tried to reach out to him, in some hopes of diffusing the situation. "I'm so sorry. It was a mistake. Please... please don't hate me." He begged.

"It's a bit to late for that Archie. I've never hated someone as much as I hate you right now." He growled out, ripping himself away from the man who ripped his heart out. "I hope she was worth it because you have lost me forever." He tried to storm out of the room but Archie ran in front of him. "Get out of my way!"

"I can't let you leave. If I do than I know we won't be able to work this out."

"Are you kidding me? So you think you blocking me in here is going to make it so we work it out? You are out of your fucking mind. Now I swear to god if you don't get out of my way I'm going to explode." He threatened, aiming his head down and taking a step forward. "I'm serious Archie. Don't even try to work things out with me because there will be no chance in hell we will ever get back together or be friends again."

"Please don't say that." Archie pleaded, tears in his eyes. He had never wanted this to happen. This was the last time he was going to fool around with Veronica before be completely loyal to [name]. He thought he could get away with it and [name] would never find out. "Just give me one more chance. I promise you this will never happen again."

By the time he had finished talking, Veronica had finished getting dressed and got out of bed, slowly walking over to the pair. Although she really didn't like the guy, she knew Archie loved him and she had only been a fling.

She couldn't be the reason they broke up. It would make her feel to guilty. "It was my fault. I convinced him to do it. Please don't leave him over a silly mistake. You can work this out."

He slowly turned his head to look at her and she took a step back when she saw how wild and dark his eyes looked. "You really think it's a good idea to talk to me at the moment? How about both of you keep your mouths shut and stop coming up with pathetic excuses." He pushed forward, moving Archie out of the way and stomping out the door.

"Please, come back. Don't leave. I'm sorry." Archie's voice came calling after him. Archie was chasing after him, not stopping until they reached the porch of his house and he fell to his knees, his left effort to try and get him to stay. "Please..."

[name] shook his head with pursed lips. "I have nothing more to say to you." He walked down the pathway. This wouldn't be the last time he talked to the redhead. He knew that but he would never look at him the same way again.

He sat on the bed between his two best friends as he finished recounting the story. Kevin and Betty sat there in shock, having never expected Archie to do something like that to him.

They thought Archie and [name] were going to last. "What should we do?" Kevin started. "We have to do something. We can't just let him get away with this."

"Although I appreciate the thought. I'd really just like to forget about them. I don't want to do some revenge prank. It'll just give him the impression that I care." He responded, shoving his face into the pillow and a small sniffle leaving his nose. His eyes were red and his throat sore from all the crying he had done. "Did I do something wrong?"

Betty gasped and smacked the back of his head. "No! I never thought I would hear you say something like that. No one deserves to be cheated on. He's the one at fault not you. So, please don't blame yourself." She wrapped her arm around his back and placed her chin on his head.

He turned his face upwards to look at her. "I thought he was my Jughead." He whispered to her. "I thought we were going to make it." Betty continued to hug him, feeling like that was the only thing she could do that would give him any comfort.

"Forget about him. He's an idiot for losing you and you'll see, in no time you'll have a new boyfriend who you love and who loves you and Archie will have to sit on the sidelines and watch and not be able to do anything about it." Kevin laughed. "I mean, just putting it out there but I'm single." He teased.

[name] had to laugh at that. He looked at Kevin thankfully. "That's really sweet of you to offer but I think I'm just going try and be single for a while. I can't even think about dating right now." He looked at Betty with a frown. "I-I know I'm putting you in an awkward position because Veronica is your friend but at school, I just can't be around her. You can still hang with her. I'll just go somewhere else."

"Are you kidding? I'm not leaving your side. She might be my friend but what she did is wrong and I won't even be able to be around her without getting angry." She ran her fingers through his hair. "You're not getting rid of me that easily. I'll be glued by your side."

"Both of us will be." Kevin added.

He got tears in his eyes again. Not because he was thinking about Archie but because he was thinking about how lucky he was to have them as his friends.
