"I can't decide if this is a great place to take a date, or a really stupid one." He said as he looked at the raptors who looked back at him with hunger. He took a step away from the cage and cleared his throat. "If you were trying to impress me, congratulations, you did it. Can we leave now?"
Owen laughed, walking up behind him so his back was pressed against his chest. "I will admit, I might have been trying to impress you a little bit but I also wanted to show you what I do for a living. You don't have to be scared. They're not going to hurt you."
"Yeah, because they're in a cage. I don't know how you're brave enough to interact with them for a living. Aren't you ever afraid that they will turn on you and, oh I don't know, eat you?!"
"Oh, they could turn on me any second but I've trained them well enough where I can somewhat control them. There's always a risk but I love working here with them and if something bad does happen, than oh well. At least I spent the last parts of my life doing something I love."
[name] took his eyes off the hungry raptors and turned in his dates arms, feeling better now that they were looking at each other. "You really have a way with words, don't you?"
"Do I? I didn't notice." Owen shrugged, a cocky smile on his lips as he pulled him closer. "You really have no need to be scared. You're safe as long as you're here in my arms."
[name] laughed, leaning forward to kiss the other male but jumped in fright, pulling himself out of Owen's arms and jumping behind him, shaking slightly. One of the raptors had ran at the cage and hit it, causing a loud bang, baring it's teeth and snarling. "Oh, god!"
"Blue. You're ruining my date." Owen said as if he were speaking to a child. He walked closer to the cage, ignoring [name]'s calls for him to come back. "She's just jealous that all my attention is on you and not on her. Isn't that right, Blue?"
"Yeah, no. I think she's just really hungry and wants to eat us. Maybe next time we could see a cute herbivore? One that doesn't have a taste for humans?"
"Okay. That can be our next date." Owen walked back over to him. "I'll get you to warm up to my raptors sooner or later. Just you wait."
"Good luck with that one, buddy."
