Jonathan continued to put up flyers of his missing little brother, trying to stop himself from getting to upset in front of everyone. The last thing he needed was to be made fun of because he was upset at Will being missing.
"Hey, Jonathan... right?" He turned around and froze when he saw who it was. [name]. Someone he never thought would actually talk to him. Though he had been hoping for it to happen for years now.
"Yeah, that's me." He was still a little star struck. He had always wanted to talk to him but he couldn't even get within ten feet of this guys friend group without getting laughed out. [name] was never one to laugh. He was just to oblivious to notice his friends were.
"I know we hardly know each other, actually, we don't know each other at all but... I heard about what happened and I just wanted to ask if you were okay. I know it's a stupid question but-"
"No!" Jonathan cut him off, making the other male jump a little bit. He cleared his throat. "Sorry. Um, I appreciate you coming up and asking. You're actually the first person here who has asked me. It means a lot and I'm doing fine. As fine as I can be."
"That's good." Silence and Jonathan was trying his hardest to think of something to say so the conversation didn't end there. "If you ever need any help... with posters and stuff, you can ask me or if you just want to hang out. I've been told I'm not completely boring."
"Are you sure? I don't want you to feel obligated to hang out with me." Although he would love for them to hang out, a pity hangout wouldn't be fun for either of them.
"I don't feel obligated to hang out with you. I wouldn't offer if I didn't want to or mean it. I'm not that kind of person." [name] got a pencil and piece of paper out of his bag. "This is my number. Call me anytime. I'm usually just sitting at home doing nothing." He laughed.
Jonathan smiled and took the paper, his fingers tingling. "Thank you."
"Hey, [name]! What are you doing? Get over here." The both of them turned to the side to see Steve Harrington, looking at them with annoyance. "We don't have all day."
"He can be so annoying sometimes. Sorry about that." He said before placing his hand on Jonathan's arm and squeezed it gently. "Promise me if you want to, you'll call?"
"Yeah. I promise." Jonathan would keep that promise because not only did he want to spend as much time with [name] as possible, he also needed as much help as he could get to find Will.
