He had always had feelings for Misaki. He had never tried to hide it and he had always let Misaki know how he felt. The only problem was, Misaki wasn't so comfortable with showing their relationship in public. PDA was a big no no.
[name] had boyfriends before, all of them being like him. Many dates, many hand holding and lots of kisses in public. It was weird now that he was with Misaki. He was completely different to anyone else he had ever dated. Positives and negatives came with that but [name] was in love with him and wasn't about to let him go.
He sat at his lunch table, having a college class today with his best friend Shinosuke Todo. They had met through Misaki and had been inseparable ever since. "Did you hear about that new movie that came out?"
He jumped up excitedly, "yes! I've wanted to see it so bad but..." He trailed off with a sigh, glancing away from Todo. "Misaki doesn't want to see it. He hates horror. Gives him nightmares."
"We can go together. I've really want to see it and it looks so good."
"Really? Awesome! I'd love to go. When's the next session on? Is it tonight because I am so free tonight and so up for it." He replied with a huge smile, shuffling to lean closer to Todo when he got his phone out to see the movie times.
"There! There's one on tonight at seven. That's a perfect time. Hopefully it's not to packed in there. It's so much better when the theatres nearly empty. So much scarier."
"Can't disagree with that." They both laughed, Todo looking up, not realising doing that would make their faces inches apart. Before [name] even had time to lean back a throat clearing made him turn around, seeing his short fused boyfriend behind him, arms crossed and eyes narrowed. "Oh! Hey."
Misaki raised an eyebrow, "hi... what are you two doing?"
"We were just planning on when to go see that new movie. We're going to see it tonight. You're missing out man, it's going to be great." Todo was the one to answer.
Misaki clenched his fists, looking even more angry. "You two are going? Alone? And together?"
"Yes, yes and yes. I invited you like a million times but you said you didn't want to do. Todo was nice enough to come with me. What would I do without him?" He wrapped his arm around his best friend and squeezed.
"Ah, I know. I'm a life saver. Anyway, I gotta go to class but I'll pick you up tonight. I'll text you when I'm on my way." Todo pet [name] on the shoulder and nodded to Misaki before walking away.
"Come, sit down." He moved across and Misaki sat down. He want to grab his hand but stopped, remembering the no PDA rule. They had been together for so long yet he still forgot. "How's your day been?"
"Fine... do you really have to go out tonight? You could just watch a movie with me."
"I know... but I really want to see this movie and you don't want to see it. I'm sure you can go one night without me. Hey, it won't even be a night. I'll be gone for, like, a couple hours and than I'll come home after."
"Fine. Go out with Todo, since you seem to like him so much better. I'm only your boyfriend after all. Makes sense." Misaki stabbed his salad with his fork.
"Aw. My baby is jealous." Misaki got jealous all the time. "You don't need to worry. Todo's just a friend."
"I know." Misaki blushed. "I just, you seem so much closer to him than me and sometimes I think because I'm... not all touchy and like your other boyfriends and Todo is, that you'll end up liking him more."
"Misaki... you shouldn't ever think that. I love you and you have every right to feel how you want about PDA. I get your uncomfortable and that's fine. As long as I get to hold you and kiss you at home, than I'm fine."
"Really?"
"Yes, really. Now, you still have my invite to come tonight. You don't need to be scared, I'll protect you." He said hopefully and knocked Misaki's shoulders.
Misaki gave him a dead panned look, "no."
