"What's going on?" He asked breathlessly after just having run across campus after getting an urgent call from his friend, who wouldn't tell him exactly why he had to come running. "Why do you all look so upset?" He questioned again after seeing the look on everyone's faces.
"It's Percy..." Annabeth started, moving out of the way so [name] could see the boy, who was lying on the bed, eyes closed and making no movement to get up.
"W-What's wrong with him?" [name] asked, walking over to the bed, seeing Percy's peaceful face. "Why isn't he waking up?" He was starting to get more freaked out. This wasn't normal. The guy he loved was lying down, looking nearly dead. He was allowed to be a little freaked out.
"Slow down." Annabeth commanded. "He was put in an eternal rest..." Seeing [name] was about to start freaking out again, she put her hand over his mouth to stop him. "Before you ask, yes, we know how to undo it..."
"Well! What would that be?"
"True loves kiss." She answered, making his jaw drop. "The only problem is, we don't know who Percy loves. Me and him broke up because he said he had feelings for someone else but he wouldn't tell me who."
"Have you, um, tried kissing him?" He asked with crossed arms, having no idea that was why they broke up. Who did Percy like?
"I was about to before you walked into the room." She looked at Percy with frown. "I really hope this works because I don't think going around and getting everyone at school to kiss Percy is a good idea." She huffed.
"Would you get it over with already!" Rachel exclaimed annoyed.
"Okay." Annabeth called back, stepping up to Percy and leaning down. [name] closed his eyes and looked away, not really feeling like watching someone else kiss the guy he loved. Annabeth slowly leaned back, looking at Percy with hope but frowned when his eyes stayed closed. "Dammit!"
"Who else are we going to ask?" Someone called from behind. "Does anyone know who Percy could have liked?"
"[name]... you do it." Grover said.
[name] furrowed his eyebrows, "me? But Percy doesn't like me."
Grover rolled his eyes, "you don't know that. Look, I always see him staring at you so if there's anyone he likes, it's you. Besides, you never know what could happen. So, just kiss him."
[name] bit his lip nervously, seeing Annabeth move out of the way so he could step forward, though even she looked confused. "Um, okay... but I don't think this is going to work." He really didn't. Percy's never made any indication that he liked him. If he did, [name] would know... or would he? "I can do this, it's just a simple kiss." He mumbled quietly, kneeling next to Percy.
He cleared his throat, feeling everyone looking at him. They didn't help his nerves at all. He leaned down slowly, stopping inches from Percy's lips. He tried to slow his about to beat out of his chest heart and connected their lips, in a soft kiss. He leaned back after a couple seconds, breathing a sigh of disappointment, "I told you he wouldn't--"
A gasp broke through the air and Percy shot up in the air, eyes wide, "Percy! You're awake!" Annabeth screamed, running over to him and tackling him in a hug. "You idiot!"
"What happened?"
"You were put in an eternal rest and only true loves kiss could wake you up. I swear you are always getting yourself in trouble."
"True loves kiss? But that would mean." He immediately turned to [name]. "That you would have kissed me."
[name] couldn't help the happiness that entered him at the fact Percy knew it was him. "Y-Yeah. It was me." He rubbed the back of his neck nervously.
"But that would mean that you love me back." Percy breathed out, eyes wide with excitement. "Do you?" He just needed [name] to confirm it and than he could burst with happiness.
"Yeah... I do."
"Well, this is unexpected." Rachel said, looking between them. "But hey, good for you two. Can I go now? Leave the happy couple to themselves." She didn't wait for an answer and walked out.
"So, this is who you broke up with me for." Annabeth gave [name] a once over, pursing her lips before shrugging. "He's cool enough. I approve." She knocked Percy's arm. "And you stay away from anymore sorceress." She rolled her eyes and walked out, Grover following after giving the boys a thumbs up.
"So... this is happening quickly." Percy twiddled his thumbs nervously. "I had no idea you liked me back. That means we could have been together all this time..."
[name] couldn't hold back and tackled Percy in a hug. "I'm so glad you're okay." He whispered, feeling Percy wrap his arms back around him.
"Actually, I still feel a bit woozy." [name] pulled back, looking at Percy worriedly. "...Maybe you should kiss me again. I think that would make me feel a whole lot better."
"You don't have to ask me twice." And this time, the kiss was longer than just a couple seconds.
