His fingers trailed over the piano keys as he sang in a soft tone, feeling like he was in a daze. Every time he sang he felt like he was at home. Music had always been his passion and something he wanted to do professionally. To bad everyone here at school was more focused on his twin sister, Gabriella.
"You sound really good." A few voice spoke.
[name] jumped in fright, fingers pushing into a bunch of wrong keys, letting a noisy, ugly sound out. It was after school, he wasn't expecting anyone else to be here. Especially not Troy Bolton. The guy his sister had a crush on. "Troy? What are you doing here?"
"I've been looking for you. Gabriella told me you came here after school." Troy explained, cheeks tinted red. [name] looked at him confused, wondering what Troy could want with him. "I've never heard you sing before."
"I never thought that would interest you." [name] replied. "Um, what was it you needed?" It's not that he didn't like talking to Troy but they hardly ever did so he thought Troy only wanted something off of him.
Troy blushed again, rubbing the back of his neck as he laughed nervously. He walked over to the piano and sat down next to the other boy. "Well, actually... I heard you really liked the pirates of the Caribbean movie and the sequel just came out... so did you want to go see it... with me?"
[name] furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Wouldn't you rather go see it with Gabriella? She likes the movie to."
"Oh, um, no. I want to go see it with you. Why would you think I'd rather see it with her?" Troy looked genuinely curious.
[name] rolled his eyes, "oh come on. Everyone knows you two have a thing for each other. Don't know why you always deny it."
"Because I don't have a thing for her!" Troy exclaimed, sick of hearing people say that, especially when it came from the person he actually had a thing for. "There's someone else I like and it's not your sister."
"Oh?" [name] replied in interest. "And who would that be?"
"Um..." Troy trailed off. He looked forward, scooting closer to the other boy. "I, um, like you... which is why I wanted you to come out with me." He mumbled, half hoping [name] didn't hear him and half hoping he did.
[name]'s mouth propped open and his breath hitched. Did Troy really say what he thought he said? Was it possible that he was hearing things? Or did that star basketball player really have feelings for him? "Uh, could you repeat that please?"
"I... like... you." Troy said a little louder, not daring to look at [name] in fear of rejection. "If you don't like me, can you just say it. The silence is really freaking me out." His eyes squeezed shut.
[name] lifted his hand, placing it on Troy's cheek and slowly turning his head. "I like you to." He breathed out before leaning forward and connecting their lips. His sister completely gone from his mind.
