"What am I supposed to do?" Stiles whined as he dug his face into the pillow, his words coming out muffled but Scott still hears him. "It's not fair. Why does [name] just have to be so... cool."
Scott laughed, looking away from the laptop he was currently working on. "He is a pretty cool guy." Stiles groaned in agreement. "Why don't you just tell him you like him. You never know, he probably likes you back."
"No. I do know. He likes guys like Jackson Whittemore and Isaac Lahey. I swear, he even had a crush on you once. He definitely has a type and I'm not in that category."
"You're overthinking... like you always do. You have to give yourself more credit. Even if he does say no, you'll still be friends afterwards. You won't lose him because you like him."
"Isn't it better to think that maybe he could like me back than knowing he is disgusted by me and couldn't even imagine being with me?"
"No. It's better to know you tried." Scott sighed at him. "Please just don't chicken out."
Stiles pursed his lips and looked down at his hands, not feeling one ounce of bravery within him.

The next day Stiles was walking through the hallways, seeing [name] at his locker. He took in a deep breath and walked towards him, putting on his brightest smile. "Hey!"
"Oh, hey Stilinski." He replied, getting out his book.
"Um..." Stiles cleared his throat. "I-I was wondering, I remember you said you wanted to watch the star wars movies... and I have them all, so if you wanted to watch them... you could come watch them with me, if you wanted?"
He was prepared for the rejection. For [name] to make up some excuse on why he couldn't come. He got the opposite reaction. "Really?! That would be awesome."
"Are you serious?" Stiles asked in complete shock, leaning a little closer in case he had heard him wrong.
[name] looked a little confused. "Yeah?" He smiled and punched his shoulder lightly. "I'm not busy tonight and seeing as today's Friday, I can stay over and we can watch them all night. Is that cool with you?"
"That is very cool with me." As the other male walked away, Stiles couldn't help the little fist pump he did, jumping up from his spot in excitement.
It might not be an offical date but it still made Stiles feel like he was on cloud nine. Than after they could finally be offical, if Stiles had the balls to ask him.
