He looked around the school in nervousness. [name] had just moved here with his family and it was safe to say, he wasn't good with meeting new people. He was perfectly fine at his previous school. He had friends, he was doing well in classes and had a crush on this really cute boy. Though his parents thought it was best to move.

That's how he found himself standing outside his chest class, his mouth feeling dry. People gave him looks as they walked into the classroom. It was a small town so it was easy to figure out when there was a new kid in town. Everyone's attention had been on him, like he was some kind of circus act. It sucked.

He took in a deep breath and walked into the classroom, immediately being greeted by the teacher who gave him a kind smile. It eased his worries a bit. "You must be [name]? Welcome to Forks High. You can take a seat over there and partner up with Edward. He's the only one who doesn't have one."

He nodded and looked to where the teacher was gesturing, jaw dropping when he saw an extremely attractive guy. His skin was smooth with not one blemish. His hair looked healthy and like running your fingers through it would feel amazing. He was so pale, nearly as white as a ghost.

He quickly looked away when he realised Edward had been looking at him the whole time and could probably tell he was checking him out. Great, first day and the attractive guy probably thinks I'm a weirdo. He cleared his throat and walked over to the desk, slowly sitting down next to him.

He tried to gain the confidence to speak but every time he opened his mouth, he closed it again, feeling like if he spoke, his voice would come out layered with nervousness.

Luckily, Edward turned to him first with a strained smile. "Hi. I'm Edward Cullen." He introduces himself and when he looked at him, he could see Edward was really tense, like he was trying to hold himself back from doing something.

He smiled back, feeling his face go red. It was so embarrassing that anyone could tell when he was nervous because of his uncontrollable face redness. He pushed through it, trying to ignore it. "H-Hey. I'm [name]. I'm new here." He said, twiddling his fingers under the table.

Edward nodded, "I know. You're the talk of the school." Oh, great. Just what I needed. I'm probably going to be bombarded after class. Kill me now. Edward laughed out of nowhere and he looked at him with furrowed eyebrows. "Sorry. It's just your eyes went really wide."

"Right, yeah. Let's just say I'm not a big fan of attention." He said honestly. "Meeting new people is kinda difficult. I stutter and I ramble and I always say the wrong thing..." He trailed off, realising he was doing exactly that. "Sorry."

"It's okay. I don't mind. I like hearing you talk." Edward tilted his head at him.

This guy is really trying to make my heart stop on the first day of school, isn't here? Cause it's gonna happen if he keeps smiling at me like that. "Thank you. No ones ever said that to me before."

"That is strange." Edward commented. "If you, uh, don't have anyone to sit with at lunch, you're more than welcome to come and sit with me and my family but be warned my sister Rosalie can be a bit... mean sometimes."

"A-Are you sure you want me to sit with you?" [name] asked in shock. He had never made a friend this quickly before. Especially by someone who looked like that. "Because I don't want to be an inconvenience to you."

"You're not an inconvenience. I'd be more than happy if you sat with us. My family will love you." Edward laughed. A musical sound that made [name] nearly swoon.

First day of school and he already had a crush on a guy that was completely out of his league. Hey, at least he had somewhere to sit now.
