He knocked on the door but sighed when he received no answer. He opened the door anyway, seeing one of his best friends in the bath, head under water and blocking out the world around him, Haruka always did this. When water was around, he was in it. He loved water and was on the swim team.

[name] wasn't on the team. He just went to cheer them on. He was actually afraid of water and didn't know how to swim. The amount of times Haru had tried to teach him was a lot and even though he appreciated it, he just couldn't do it.

"You really should answer when I knock. How am I supposed to know if you've drowned or not?" He teased, walking over to the tub. Haru had swim trunks on so he didn't see any nakedness.

Haru opened his eyes the slightest bit. "Would you jump in and rescue me?"

"I don't think it would be to hard to save you from a bath tub. You can count on me." He lifted his hand and saluted. He sat down on the floor next to the tub. "You're the one who asked me to come over and you decide to have a bath. Rather rude."

"I'm getting out now." Haru answered dryly, standing from the bath, the water dripping down his body.

He shook his head, water flying and [name] laughed, holding his hands up to protect his face. "Damn, dude. Dry yourself without getting me wet please?"

Haru picked up the nearest towel and started to wipe over his body.

"So why did you want me to come over? What are we doing?" He stood back up as Haru left the bathroom. He followed him into his room and jumped on the bed.

"I want to take you somewhere." Haru answered, getting dressed and grabbing his pre packed back, throwing it over his shoulder and looking at the boy on the bed with his usual blank stare. "Now."

"Wha-" [name] stuttered, leaning up on his elbows. "You want to go somewhere? But I'm already comfy on your bed. Come on. Can't we just stay here? Please."

"No." Haru walked over to the bed and grabbed his hand, pulling the groaning boy up and dragging him out of the room. "We're going now."

With an over dramatic sigh, followed by a groan, he let himself be dragged out by his best friend.

Where they ended up made [name] freeze in fear. The pool. Haruka had taken him to the damn pool. "Yeah, nice try. I don't think so." He said, already turning around to leave.

Haru rushed him and grabbed him, wrapping his arms around his middle in a tight grip, not planning on letting him leave any time soon. "Just come with me. Please. We didn't come all the way out here for nothing, did we?"

"I could have saved us the trip if you told me where you wanted to take me. I don't know if you know this, Haru but I can't swim!" He shouted, wiggling around in the tight grasp. "I don't plan on drowning today."

"You won't drown. Not with me in the pool with you." Haru tried to calm him down, resting his forehead on [name]'s back. "I promise you that nothing will happen to you while I'm there. I'd never let anything happen to you."

[name] was still tense as he looked at the pool, the deep, blue water glaring back at him and basically taunting him. Calling him a coward and a baby. He wouldn't deny he was those things because when it came to swimming he was and he didn't care.

Haru suddenly grabbed his hand and turned him back around, looking deep into his eyes. "Trust me."

He did trust Haru but he was still scared. He looked at the water again and his shoulders slumped. "F-Fine but the second I want to get back out you have to let me. I'm not staying in there any longer then I feel comfortable."

"Of course. That's fine." Haru agreed, letting go of his hands.

[name] went to the locker room and got changed into the swim trunks Haru had sneaked with him, his shaky hands pulling them up his legs and goosebumps started to form. He shook his head, trying to push his fears to the side and went back out, seeing the swimmer was already in the pool.

"It's to late to back out now." He mumbled to himself, walking over to the shallow end and slowly walking onto the first step, the cold water hitting against his toes. "This is such bullshit."

His whole body screamed at him to get back out but before he could Haru swam over to him, once again grabbing his hands and coaching him into the water with soft words of encouragement. He was waist deep now and still shaking like a leaf.

"It's okay. Just hold onto me." Haru said, letting [name] wrap his arms around his shoulder as he moved into deeper water.

The further up the water got, the more he was starting to freak out and he crushed Haru in a hug, forcing him to halt his movements and not go any deeper. "I-I can't. P-Please..." He trailed off.

Haru gently ran his hands through his hand, getting it damp. The water was just above both of their chests now and [name]'s face was pushed into his shoulder.

"I'm sorry. I just can't do it."

Haru pushed his head back up so they were staring at each other and he put his hand on [name]'s cheek, rubbing his thumb up and down in a calming manner. "Shh." He whispered, doing something that [name] really hadn't expected him to do.

He kissed him.

[name] froze in shock. His best friend was kissing him, Haru was kissing him. It made how exactly Haru felt towards him. Even with his mind jumbled he still let himself kiss back in a slow, experimental way. He wasn't exactly an expert in kissing guys, seeing as all of his previous relationships were with girls.

Haru pulled back and [name] found himself already missing the feel of his lips. A hand was placed on his chest, over his wildly beating heart. "I'll do that again if it helps."

[name] finally came back to his senses and fearfully looked down at the water moving around his body. "Yeah, um, I think it does help." He said with a blush.

Haru moved in close so they were inches apart. "I'm gong to teach you to swim if it's the last thing I do."

"I like your determination... but I think I like kissing you more."
