Hinata looked around the gym, quickly as if he were searching for someone. The rest of his teammates looked at each other, wondering if they knew who he was searching for.

The orange haired male had a small frown on his face and his shoulders slumped, not seeing the person he really wanted to see.

"Is everything okay?" Sugawara asked after approaching him. They were just about to start a game and Hinata was usually a lot more pumped up then this.

"I was just expecting someone to come. Guess he couldn't make it." He responded, putting on a fake smile and putting his hands on his hips. "It's okay! I'm pumped up! Let's go!"

Though Sugawara didn't look convinced he let it go, not wanting to push the younger boy to talk about it when they really didn't have time to.

The game began and it was clear to anyone that Hinata was distracted. He kept looking up at the stands and missing his shots. Kageyama's face was red with anger and he was this close to tackling his teammate and knocking some sense into him.

The first half of the game finished and they were losing. Hinata had his shoulders sagged as he sat down on the bench, taking small sips of his water.

Kageyama hit the back of his head roughly and growled out, "get your head in the game! You're making us lose."

"Calm down." Daichi commanded. "Making him more upset isn't going to make him play any better."

"Who was it you were expecting to come?" Sugawara sat down next to him and bumped his shoulders with his. The others looked confused, not having known that information.

Hinata slowly looked over at the silver haired male and shook his head. "It was someone very special to me. He promised he would come."

"Forget about this dumb guy and think about the game." A hand was placed over Kageyama's mouth to shut him up. His muffled complaints were barely heard.

"Why do you look upset?" A deep voice sounded from behind them. Hinata jumped in his seat and he gasped, the biggest smile overcoming his face and a look of pure joy entering  his eyes.

He jumped up and rushed towards the male, jumping on him and wrapping himself around him. "You came!" He said excitedly.

The male furrowed his eyebrows and held Hinata up so he wouldn't fall. "I told you I was coming. I've been sitting at the back on the stands. Haven't you seen me?"

Hinata pulled back and shook his head. "I must have missed you. I was so upset. I thought you hadn't come and had ditched me. I should have known you would never do anything like that to me!"

"Um, Hinata. Who is this?" Sugawara asked.

The two males turned their focus away from one another and looked at the silver haired male. "Oh, right! I haven't introduced you all to him yet. This is my boyfriend, [name]."

Their mouths opened in shock. The boy holding onto Hinata looked like his complete opposite, with dark hair and clothes that seemed to match his dark personality. You could say he wasn't someone any of them were expecting.

"This is your boyfriend?" Tanaka asked in shock.

[name] narrowed his eyes at him and growled out, "yeah. You got a problem with that?"

Tanaka held up his hands and took a step back. "Nope. No problem at all."

"Good because if we did have a problem, it wouldn't turn out well for you." He was intimidating that was for sure. The dark haired male put Hinata back on the ground, the height difference making him tower over his boyfriend. "Now you know I'm here, you can go out and kick that other teams ass. They're acting to cocky and it's making me rage."

Hinata nodded his head quickly with a determined expression. "I'll kick their ass."

"Good." He leaned down, placing a short kiss on Hinata's forehead before pulling back and looking at him softly. "I love you, my little ball of sunshine."

The nickname made Hinata blush and giggle. "Love you to." The two parted ways and [name] went back up into the stands. Hinata made sure to watch him to see where he was sitting and now he could see why he didn't see him earlier. His boyfriend basically blended into the shadows.

He turned around and put his hands on his hips. "Who's ready to win the game!"

Kageyama scoffed and pushed Yu's hand off his mouth, "you mean to tell me that you were basically throwing the game because you though your boy toy wasn't here watching you. How pathetic are you?"

"K-Kageyama. I wouldn't yell at him." Yu tugged on his arm and pointed up the stands where [name] was sitting, glaring at the black haired male.

When Kageyama caught his eyes, [name] brought his hand up and ran a thumb across his neck in warning. He couldn't hear exactly what the volleyball player was saying but he could clearly see that he was shouting at his little ball of sunshine and didn't like that one bit.

"He's protective. Don't worry about him. He won't actually kill you." Hinata laughed and sent a short wave to his boyfriend, making [name] lose the glare and wave back with a soft neutral expression.

If anyone knew him well enough, they knew that neutral expression was full of love and the only person he showed that face to was Hinata.

"He's scary." Yu mumbled. "How are you not scared of him."

"There's nothing to be scared of. He's a big puppy and the best to cuddle with." Hinata sighed in happiness.

The whistles blew, signalling that they had to go back into the game and Hinata bounced in. The cockiness of the other team didn't last long as Hinata's team got higher and higher in point until they eventually passed them and won the game.

"Would you guys like to go to dinner with me and [name] to celebrate?" Hinata asked hopefully when they left the court once again.

"Um, I don't think-" Tanaka cut himself off when he saw the male in question walk up behind Hinata with dark eyes.

Sugawara shook his head at them and smiled at Hinata. "We would love to." Unlike the others he wasn't going to judge a book by its cover and wanted to get to know the boy who could make his friends mood change so drastically.
