Midoriya's POV

As Todoroki calmed me down, I stayed still as possible, waiting for my heart rate to go back to normal. "Feeling better now?" Todoroki asked quietly, as he continued to move his fingers in my hair. "Yeah." I mumbled, my grip on his arm looser than before. My eyes were tried and I knew just how much I had cried.

"Good. Do you want anything to eat? It's pretty much dinner time anyway." Todoroki asked another question. "Wait, what time is it?" I asked, knowing it was around 4 that I had fallen asleep. "It's almost 6:30." Todoroki said calmly, making sure I couldn't move or freak out too much. "Are you serious?!" I hollered, pulling away slightly.

"I'm as serious as Aizawa when he's in a bad mood." Todoroki replied, readjusting his position. "Really? Wasn't it like, 4 when I fell asleep?" I asked, knowing that if I was right, I would have slept more just now than I have since almost two years ago. "Yeah, it was 3:57." Todoroki said, standing up and pulling his hands above his head and stretching his back.

"Ugh, okay." I complained, flopping back onto the bed. "What? Isn't it good that you slept?" Todoroki asked, looking at me weirdly. "Well, yes and no. If it was at night, it'd be yes, but because it was during the day, I won't be sleeping tonight." I said, rolling onto my stomach and laying my head on my crossed arms.

"Oh, I see. But still, are you hungry?" Todoroki asked again. "Hm, not really." I replied even though my stomach was in pain due to hunger. "Too bad, you're eating." Todoroki said sternly. 'No, you'll get fat.' I wanted to puke as my own brain fought against me. "I'm not hungry." I said back, burying my head into my arm. Even though it was healing, the word carved into my arm stung as I put pressure on it. It was still pretty fresh. "Oh really? You sure?" Todoroki asked, putting his hands on his hips.

"...No." I mumbled, almost unhearable as it was muffled by my arms. 'Stupid! You're gonna get fat!' My own thoughts screamed at me. I heard the shuffle of footsteps and then felt the bed dip. I wanted to cry, knowing that Todoroki was thinking out what he was going to say next. I felt a familiar burn in my eyes as the shirt I was wearing started to become wet. I felt so pathetic and useless, I'm not sure I wanted to know what he had to say.

"Wanna know something that makes me happy?" Todoroki asked as I felt a warm hand rest on my back for a bit before it ran up and down soothingly. I hummed in response to Todoroki's question as I feared my voice would break. "You're burying your face into my favorite shirt. You're scent is going to be all over it. Just the thought makes me smile." Todoroki said in a soft tone, continuing to rub my back.

I felt very embarrassed as I flipped my head to him, looking at him. "W-What?!" I asked, louder than needed. Todoroki smiled lightly, almost sadly, back at me. "What's wrong, Mido?" Todoroki asked gently, removing his hand from my back to the side of my face, his thumb stroking my cheek. I froze not knowing what to say. I want to say nothing but Todoroki'd see right through that.

"Never mind, let's just go get something to eat." Todoroki said before I could say anything. "Not. Hungry." I replied, turning my head to look away. "Yeah, yeah. Okay. So the hard way, right?" Todoroki sighed, standing up. I looked back to him, confused beyond the sky. Todoroki stretched again and then turned back to me, a stone cold look on his face. "Alright," Todoroki started, flipping me over and sticking his arms under my legs all in one swift motion. "And upsie dasie." Todoroki finished, lifting me off the bed.

"What're you doing?!" I yelled, squirming to try and get out. "Shut up and stay still." Todoroki ordered in his stoic voice, his expression the same. My chest hurt as my heart skipped a beat. My eyes got hot again as I looked up at Todoroki, only seeing one emotion in his eyes. I felt horrible as I identified that emotion as pain.

I quieted down as I turned into his chest and wrapped my arms around his neck. Todoroki walked over to my light switch, flipping it off and making his way to the door. "Sorry." I whispered, not wanting to make Todoroki at all mad. "For?" Todoroki asked as he carried me down the hall. "I made you mad." I replied a little louder as the tears started slipping from the firm hold my eyes originally had. "No madder than my old man makes me." Todoroki joked, a small smirk playing on his face for a second before it was hidden by nothing again.

"Y-You're not funny Todo." I cried, quietly gripping onto him tighter. I heard Todoroki curse under his breath as he stopped walking. I wiggled a bit, just enough so that I could see why he stopped. Nothing was in our way, so I was a bit lost. "What?" I asked, looking back to the half n' half teen that was holding me. "We are going to have to make those tears disappear." Todoroki replied, a mischievous smirk displayed on his lips. 'Oh no.' I thought, realizing that he could easily run down the stairs again.

"H-Hey, l-let's be reasonable." I stuttered, holding onto Todoroki a bit tighter. "What? Running down the stairs doesn't sound fun to you?" Todoroki asked, his smirk growing. "Todoroki. NO." I said, starting to feel a little anxious. "Todoroki Yes." Todoroki replied as he started to jog to the stairs. The closer we got to the stairs the wider Todoroki's smile got.

"Wait! Hold on!" I yelled, pretty much jumping out of Todoroki's arms. "I have an idea." I said, as my feet touched the ground. Todoroki pouted at me. "Don't look at me like that Todo. Just turn around and brace for a piggyback ride." I said smiling. Todoroki eyed me suspiciously but did it anyway. I jumped on his back as soon as he braced. "Yay! Run Horsey! Run!" I yelled, feeling a bit better, even though I knew I was acting like a child.

And that is how I got a piggyback ride down the stairs as full speed, even though we almost fell more than once.
