Midoriya's POV

I shivered, the man practically towering over me with his entire 6'4" height. I slapped my face with both hands before practically throwing the bag holding the cake at Endeavor. "S-S-Strawberry cake." I mumbled, grabbing Todoroki's arm and returning the glare from before. "Did you say 'strawberry'?"

I cannot express how terrifying it was to see that man go from 'say one wrong thing and I will pummel you,' to 'I'm a cute puppy; pet me,'. Todoroki and I just stood and watched as the meanest guy ever, happily ate a piece of cake. "You really meant it when you said that he is two different people." I whispered to Todoroki, keeping my eyes locked on the man. "Would I lie to you?" Todoroki whispered back, pulling me further into his side and kissing my forehead. I smiled, turning my attention away from the red haired adult for a moment to kiss Todoroki's cheek.

"Ahem." Endeavor 'coughed', catching our attention. "I am Enji Todoroki, Shoto's father. If I decide you don't meet my standards, I will remove you from the premises myself." Endeavor said, sitting down at a wooden table. Todoroki didn't hesitate as he pulled me over to the table and sat down in front of the not-on-fire fire hero, dragging me down onto the chair next to him. "Who are your parents?" Endeavor asked right off the bat, not giving me a moment to breathe. "My father's name Hisashi Midoriya. From what I understand, he could breathe fire, but he left before I was born so I really don't know much about him. My mom- well, my mom is Inko Midoriya." I stood up, grabbing my wallet from my back pocket, pulling out the picture I have of her and setting it on the table. Endeavor picked it up, looking at it.

"She had a telekinesis type quirk. She could bring small things to her. She passed away a few months ago." I smiled at the table, trying not to cry. "But you have a strength enhancement quirk. correct?" Endeavor asked, his one eyebrow raising in suspicion. "Apparently from my dad's side. I don't know much about that side so..." I trailed off, glad for my quick thinking. Endeavor seemed to approve of my answer and moved on.

The questions went on for a while, none of them being too hard to answer. "Right. I'm going to ask but you don't have to answer, you self harm, don't you?" I almost broke down right there. 'If I tell him the truth, will he kick me out? He'd definitely be disappointed in me. But if I lie and he sees through it, he would probably be more upset that I wasn't honest. The truth is the best way to go.'

"I-I'm trying to s-stop." I mumbled, looking down at my knees, feeling ashamed. "If my Shoto relapses because of you, I will never let you back into this family. Shoto. This isn't pity love, is it?" I flinched when Endeavor's attention shifted to Todoroki. "You really doubt me that much? No, I liked this cinnamon roll long before I found out about his bad habit, I was just to much of a wimp to say anything. That is, until he mumbled something about me not really caring. That made me snap and I ended up confessing with him pinned in a corner."

"'Pinned in a corner'? You practically wall slammed me!" I said, my face turning red hot as the memory flashed through my mind. "You backed yourself into that wall, though." Todoroki smiled, petting my head as he smiled at me. "AAAAHHHHHHHH!! NATSUO!! SHOTO SMILED!!" I flinched, looking towards the doorway, finding Fuyumi pointing at Todoroki, her jaw dropped. "Isn't it precious?! It's fairly rare but it's super cute!" I screeched back, almost no hesitation what-so-ever. "'Fairly rare', he says." Nastuo said, popping up behind Fuyumi. "He only smiles when he cooks and apparently with you." Endeavor dropped his comment. "Ugh, you guys are so annoying! I smile... sometimes." Todoroki grumbled, almost pouting.

"Haha! Yeah. Sometimes." I smiled, feeling like maybe I won't completely ruin this. "Oh my god! Shoto! Do you see that?! His smile is so cute!" Fuyumi suddenly ran over, grabbing my face and squishing it. "Fuyumi." Endeavor suddenly spoke, his tone saying everything as Fuyumi let go and walked out of the room. "Okay, kid. It seems like you've even got Nastuo to like you. I don't disapprove of you, but Shoto will be home by seven p.m. every night for the rest of the break, unless something comes up and then I want at least a text." Endeavor said, looking at Todoroki as he said the last part.

"Okay." I nodded, feeling pretty good about what I had just accomplished. "I'm leaving and taking Midoriya with me, I won't be home by seven, but I will be back before midnight." Todoroki suddenly said, pulling me up and walking out of the kitchen. "Hey, Todoroki." I said, wanting his attention. "Yes?" I was startled when Fuyumi, Nastuo, and Todo all responded, all three heads turning to me. "Oh, yeah. Um, Sh-Shoto. I-I have a curfew." I mumbled, feeling shy under the stare from all three of the siblings.

"I know, sweetheart. You have to be back by 10 right? But that doesn't mean I'm not staying for a bit." Todoroki replied, hooking a piece of my hair behind my ear. "Oh! Okay!" I smiled, continuing to let me pull me out of the house. "Hey, Todo. Where are we going?" I asked, almost tripping on a crack in the sidewalk. "Anywhere but there?" Todoroki all but asked, continuing to walk away. We walked in silence for a bit, our hands being the center of my attention. 'If my Shoto relapses because of you, I will never let you back into this family.' I couldn't help but think back to what Endeavor had said. "Todoroki." I mumbled, blinking back some tears.

"Yes, love?" Todoroki replied, stopping to look back at me. I wanted to bring up what his old man had said, but couldn't seem to find the words. "I- You- uh, well. I-uh-" "Mido! Whatever you have to say, just say it. I won't judge you." Todoroki said, turning his body more towards me. "I, well, it's really selfish but, I want you to promise me to never cut. I-I know I really have no place to say this with me doing it even though you told me not to, but I just couldn't, wouldn't, be able to bare losing you too. S-So, promise me?" I looked up at Todoroki, who looked shocked before smiling gently at me. I watched as Todoroki raised his hand, planting it on my curly mess of green hair. "I promise, but you have to work on stopping too." Todoroki replied, ruffling my hair even more that it was.

"Hey! Mic just brushed that!" I complained, letting go of his other hand to grab at the one on my head. I pouted as the halfy laughed and continued to pull me along. The rest of the day was spent on a very long date. We ate lunch, and by 'we' I mean Todoroki (we argued about that before I finally won). We went to the arcade for a couple hours before I ended up getting angry at a young lady that was hitting on my Todoroki and dragged us both out. We were currently walking down the street, Todoroki laughing at my jealousy while I hugged the fox plush he won for me, pouting.

"What was that? You just licked my neck, kissed it, and said 'mine' before hugging me and walking out." Todoroki only laughed harder as he made fun of my antics. "Like you have any room to talk! Remember at the café?" I sassed back, making Todoroki's face explode into a very deep red. "Sh-Shut Up!" Todoroki hollered, looking away. I laughed and grabbed his hand, all but skipping as I swung our arms back and forth. I smiled as we walked, feeling happier than what I was accustomed to.
