Midoriya's POV

I was confused. 'What could he want to offer a suicidal kid like me? "Okay?" I said, not knowing what to expect from him. "You know how there's a break coming up?" Aizawa asked. 'Oh yeah, I forgot about that! Everyone's allowed to go home! I can see my mo-... oh yeah... never mind, no longer excited.' I thought, getting a bit sad. "Don't beat around the bush, what about it?" I asked, now feeling the effects of hiraeth.

"Well, most everyone is going home and since, well, you know..." Aizawa trailed off, looking at me. "Yeah, I know what you're saying." I said. I forget that all the teachers know about what happened. "Yeah, Mic and I were thinking, maybe you'd like to stay with us during that time?"

'They want me, to stay with them, for a whole week? Why?' I thought, doubting how honest Aizawa was being with me. "Before I give an answer, who all is staying here and why do want me to come with you two?" I asked. 'Depending on this answer, I might actually go.' I thought, not knowing if I really wanted to yet.

"From your class, Kirishima, Kaminari, Mina, and Tsuyu, most everyone is going home. And we want you to, plus, we need to make sure you take care of yourself." Aizawa replied. 'Well, everyone that's staying are kind, but Aizawa and Mic are wanting to care for me. I'd be a burden to them.' I hadn't realized I was mumbling until Aizawa jerked his head to me.

I caught his movements out of the corner of my eye, making me look at him. He looked hurt and it confused me. "You think you'd be a burden on us?" Aizawa asked. "O-Oh, well... yeah..." I knew there was no point in lying. "We're asking you over because we can. You won't be a burden on us." Aizawa said, looking a bit betrayed. "O-Okay, um... how about I spend three days here, and then the rest of the time with you guys?" I suggested, trying to make this work.

Aizawa smiled slightly, "Okay, kid." He rubbed my head and then stood up. "Hey, Midoriya." He said before walking out. I hummed in response. "You can always come to me if you feel anything like what's on your note." I felt my chest tighten and nodded my head. "Okay, I'll be going now." Aizawa said, walking out. I reached into my pocket feeling the slip of paper. I pulled it out, reread it once again.

'I'm sorry, you're the one that found this. It's a waste of energy to be here anymore, for me at least. I hate myself so much and nothing is getting better, only getting worse. I was hurting so much, but I held it in, and made people afraid of me. I should've listened when I was told that I could never be a hero; guess they were right all along. I'm sorry it had to turn out like this. Will you tell Shoto Todoroki that I'm sorry? Thanks, good bye now, Izuku Midoriya.'

The few words on this page are all the words that I've never said to anyone. I hate the fact that Aizawa read them and I hate that he saved me. I sat back down on my bed, my note still in my hand. I need to throw the note away, but I want to keep it, just in case. I laid down on my bed, sticking my right hand between my bed and head. I lifted the note above my face and just looked at the not so neatly folded paper.

I just about jumped off my bed as I heard my door slam open and then slam close. I sat up and looked to the entrance and found Kacchan walking in. "Dek-Izuku." Kacchan mumbled, his hair covering his eyes. It made me nervous that he used my full, first name, and I quickly stuffed my note into my pocket again. "W-What?" I stuttered, surprised and scared. "What Aizawa said, about the bully, it was a lie, wasn't it?" Kacchan's voice was soft and gentle, unlike the regular rough and rude one. It edged me one, making me want to tell him the truth.

"W-What lie? I'm not sure I'm following." I said, hoping he would just give up. "Don't fucking lie to me!" Kacchan yelled, his face still towards the ground. "At the training ground the yesterday, after you went storming back off into the locker room and that Half n' Half bastard just stood there like a dumb-ass staring at his hand! You wanna know why he was staring? 'Cause there was fucking blood coating his hand!" By now, Kacchan had already looked up, tears threatening to fall.
