Midoriya's POV
Todoroki and I walked into Aizawa's and Mic's place at around 7:30 p.m.-ish, laughing our actual butts off. A cat had jumped off of a fence and landed in front of Todoroki. The cat scared Todoroki when it rubbed against his leg and he ended up freezing the poor thing solid. Todoroki only panicked more when he saw what he had just done to the innocent animal and melted the ice, carefully and immediately. The cat ended up running away without looking back. "That poor cat! What did he ever do to you?!" I laughed, leaning against the door.
Todoroki only laughed harder as I asked, knowing that it was completely accidentally. We eventually calmed down, took off our shoes, and walked to the living room, where Aizawa was sitting on his phone. "You're back earlier than expected." Aizawa stated, looking up from his phone. "Yeah, we went on a date after I got Endeavor's approval." I replied, smiling. "I didn't get a picture of food so I'm assuming you didn't eat lunch or dinner yet?" Aizawa asked, turning off his phone and standing up. "Todoroki ate lunch, but I didn't. And I was hoping you and Mic would consider having dinner with us?" I responded, offering what I was think. "Hizashi's taking a shower at the moment but I think that'd be nice." Aizawa said, walking over and patting the top of my head. "I'll go ask Mic, you two mind waiting for a bit, do you?"
I shook my head 'no' as I watched Aizawa start up the stairs. I walked over to the couch, plopping down on it, sighing as the cold passed through the back of my shirt, my jacket discarded at the door. I closed my eyes, just relaxing for a bit. "Mido. I want to ask you about your plans for tomorrow." Todoroki said, just before I felt a dip in the couch for beside me. "What about?" I replied, peeking one eye open to look at him. It was quiet for a minute as Todoroki looked at his hands, apparently trying to find the right words. "Well, I want to know why you picked Bakugo of all people." Todoroki replied, his eyes not leaving his hands. "You know that I Saturday was my first time home since what happened with my mom right?" I asked, sitting up and putting my head in my hands. Todoroki nodded, his eyes drifting to me. "And how I took a week break from school before I was moved dorms?"
"Yeah, what about it?" Todoroki tilted his head to the side, almost like a puppy. "That week was spent at Kacchan's. Auntie, Kacchan's mom stayed home with me while he went to school. That's when I stopped eating for the first time. Also when I started cutting and when I attempted suicide for the first time. When Kacchan found me trying to hang myself, he was furious. And then he cried. Every since, he's been my over-protective big brother figure. I trust him. He knows when to and not to push." I paused, smiling sadly as I remembered the face Kacchan made when he saw me standing on that chair with a noose in my hands.
"Not that I don't trust you guys here, I do, promise. It's just that, this is something more fragile that the finest glass. I wanted to go alone so no one had to tip toe around it, but since you, Aizawa, Mic, and Recovery Girl are so against that, I had to pick the person best at tip toeing." I felt arms wrap around me, quite tightly at that. "I'll get better at tip toeing, promise. That way, you can depend on me and trust me more than Bakugo." Todoroki whispered next to my eat, holding me close to him.
"What're you two lover birds doing? I thought we were goin' on a double date!" Todoroki let go as we both looked to the stairs, finding Mic and Aizawa walking down them together. Mic was especially smiley as he walked. "We are! Just gotta get my jacket and shoes on and we're ready to go!" I smiled, Mic's happy mood rubbing off on me. "Okie doki then! Let's go!" Mic yelled, jumping the last three-four stairs, practically skipping to the door. I jumped up, following behind the blonde to the door, grabbing the jacket and slipping my shoes on. I grabbed Todoroki's shoes, handing them to him when he made it to the door. I threw my jacket on, slipping my arms into the sleeves. "Alright. Ready to go." Aizawa said, when everyone was ready.
