Midoriya's POV
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." Todoroki said, a smirk displayed on his face. I quickly grabbed my phone from beside me, pulling up the camera and taking a picture. I was looking at the picture, when I noticed something important. "Ah! You were actually smiling too! " I said happily. 'Sure, I get to see him smile every once in a while, but now I have a picture of it! Precious.' I thought, looking up to see a surprised Todoroki.
"What?" I said, questioning the look on his face. "You... You actually took a picture." Todoroki replied with the same dorky face. "I mean, wouldn't you? Perfectly toned abs. Ribs that show just in the slightest. A nice, built chest. Broad shoulders. A sharp jaw line and a gorgeous smile. Cheek bones that can make just about anyone jealous. A scar that no one else can replicate. Eyes that glow like diamonds. And then that V-line, like seriously, damn. Who wouldn't? And I haven't even seen your back." I said, rambling a bit.
"Um, wow. Thanks?" Todoroki said, more asking actually. I felt heat rising up to my cheeks and face. 'I didn't just say that. I did. No, he heard all of that!' I started freaking out a bit. 'He's gonna think I'm crazy!' "I wouldn't ever think that you're crazy. I'm just surprised you think of me so highly." Todoroki said, kneeling back down in front of me, folding his arms on my thighs and resting his head on them.
"I like that you noticed so much." Todoroki said, closing his eyes. "Tired?" I asked, knowing I had kept him up quite a bit in the last few days. "Nah, just relaxing. You're soft and don't seem to mind, so why not, right?" Todoroki asks, sighing contently. "That's the only part that's soft. Other wise I'm just skin, muscle, and bone." I said, setting my right hand on his head while touching my ribs with my left.
"Stop." Todoroki suddenly demanded, sitting up. "You look amazing, skeleton like or not. You're hair is the softest thing I have ever felt and you're fun to carry around and mess with. Your humor is kinda dark sometimes, but still funnier than mine. Screw what others think or say, you're perfect to me." Todoroki said dead serious while looking straight into my eyes, taking a hold of my left hand.
"Really?" I asked, feeling tears prick at my eyes. "Well, do I look like I'm kidding?" Todoroki asked, his expression still dead serious. "No." I said, tears falling. Todoroki smiled sadly and reached up to wipe my tears. His hand was so warm and I ended up leaning unto it. "Mmm, so warm." I hummed contently.
"Well, yeah. You're freezing." Todoroki said, his face looking slightly worried. "Why do you look worried? I'm cold because all I have on is a pair of boxers." I said, knowing how obvious it was. "Oh, yeah. I forgot." Todoroki said, looking back down at me, before getting up and walking to my closet. Todoroki was looking through my clothes when I saw his shirt laying on the ground.
I stood up, feeling a little bit of pain shoot through my shins. I grabbed his shirt, pulling it on and quickly sitting back down. "W-What are you doing?" Todoroki asked, from my closet. He had one of my old sweaters in his hands as he stared at me with a light blush forming on his cheeks.
"What? I'm cold, deal with it." I said, loving how soft and warm his shirt was. I laid down, cringing in pain as my left leg laid on the other. I shifted my legs so it wasn't as painful and closed my eyes. I smelt something fairly familiar and I felt warmer. "Todoroki, you're on fire. Don't burn my room down please." I said tiredly and with my eyes still closed.
"Ah, right." Todoroki said. The warmth left and I tried curling my legs closer to my chest. "Hey, are you still cold?" Todoroki asked, probably noticing my movements. "Yeah. Get over here." I said, opening my eyes and making room for Todoroki. I watched as the topless Todoroki walked over to the bed and sat down. I felt my eyes getting heavy as he started running his finger through my hair.
"That feels good." I mumbled, scooting closer to Todoroki's leg. "Good. Do you mind if I sleep here with you?" Todoroki asked quietly. I hummed, moving back to the wall. I heard and felt my sheets move as he moved into a comfortable position. I moved closer, still feeling the cold on my legs. "Wow! Your legs are ice!" Todoroki exclaimed as my leg brushed up against his. "Hm, is that so?" I asked, sarcastically and tiredly. "Just shut up and cuddle me." I said half asleep.
"Yeah, okay." Todoroki replied, relaxing. I felt a nice warmth coming from Todoroki and got as close as I could. "That's nice of you, Todo. Using your quirk to warm us up, but you don't have to." I hummed, satisfied. "Says the one with ice for legs." Todoroki said, pulling my onto his chest. "Hey, did you know that you're putting me to sleep?" I asked into his chest. "Yes, I did." Todoroki replied smugly, raking his fingers through my hair again.
"Stay until I wake up?" I asked, no longer being able to open my eyes. "Of course." Todoroki whispered, kissing my head gently. I soon found myself asleep. It was dark and it felt very familiar.
"Izuku dear, could you set the table please?" I turned my head to find myself back at the apartment and facing my smiling mom. I got up, feeling my eyes fill with tears, and walked to my mom. I wrapped my arms around her as I silently sobbed. "Oh, sweetheart. Did you have a nightmare?" My mom asked, gently rubbing circles onto my back.
I nodded my head slightly as I sniffled into her shoulder. "Well good." My mom said, followed by an awful laugh. I looked at my mom and she had no eyes. I stumbled back as my mom grabbed the knife from the counter and swung it at me. "M-Mom?" I asked, not sure if I wanted to believe it was her. "How dare you call me that after you Killed me." She said as she turned into a grey smoke and everything went black.
I was expecting the voices to tear me down, but it was only more terrifying when they didn't. "H-Hello?" I asked into the dark abyss. Nothing came back, not even an echo. 'I'm alone. No one's here. It's dark. I'm afraid.' I thought, panicked as I turned around, trying to find any sign of anything or anyone. "That's right. A murdering monster like you deserves this. Deserves to be all alone." I searched for the voice even though I didn't recognize it.
"I can't believe Nezu let him into UA." I froze as I heard President Mic's voice. "Young Midoriya is strong, sure, but letting a murder in. I don't know what to think." "All might?" I asked, knowing these voices.
"Midoriya, wake up!"
"Midoriya!" My eyes opened wide to sound of Todoroki's voice and a light shaking. "Ah, you woke up." Todoroki sighed, looking like he was freaking out quite a bit. "What?" I asked, sleep lacing in my voice as I sat up rubbing my eyes. "You were squirming and whimpering. What happened?" Todoroki asked, letting his butt hit his heels. I remember my dream, the warmth of my mom's smile and then everything after.
Tears starting streaming down my face as I brought my hands up to my face, realizing that I was in Todoroki's shirt. I leaned down as I brought my knees up curling into a ball as I sobbed. I felt a pair of arms wrap around me. "T-Todoroki. She-She." I choked on my sobs as I gripped onto his bare shoulder. "Shh. It's okay. Calm down. We can talk about this later. Shh. You'll be okay." Todoroki soothed, starting to rock back and forth slightly.
I cried as I remembered my mom's smile and voice. And I cried harder as I remembered her scent and the warmth of her hugs. I cried as I remembered all the times I'd taken her for granted and I cried as I knew I'd never be able to cry into her shoulder again. I calmed down slightly as Todoroki weaved his fingers into my hair and warmed us up with his quirk.
I pushed the thoughts of my mom away as I focused on the person that was holding me in his arms. "I m-miss my mom." I mumbled, feeling hot tears sting my eyes again. "It's okay, don't worry about it. Just try to relax." Todoroki whispered, still rocking gently. I moved my head a bit so that my chin was in his bicep.
