Midoriya's POV

I smiled at the picture for a moment longer before a message from Aizawa shifted my screen. 'I mean, boba tea is great and all, but that's not food. Also, you're in long sleeves so I can't tell.' I sighed, realizing that neither Todoroki or I kept them updated. I smiled lightly as explained that I had ate and quickly slide my sleeves up, taking quick pictures and sending them. 'See? I'm alright!' I sent after the photos of my arms. I looked at the candy-cane themed hair on my shoulder as I felt the teen it belonged to shift.

I smiled and set my phone down on the table, taking a sip of my boba tea. I lifted my toes and began swinging my feet happily as I watched people walk around. "Please Momma! I've been good!" I turned my head to see a little boy tugging on his mother's hand as he pointed to a shaved ice place. "I know sweetheart, but everything cost a little more than I thought. We don't have the money, but you can have three pieces of candy instead of one when we get home." The mom offered, looking a bit guilty.

I lifted Todoroki's head, accidentally waking him up, as I stood and walked over to the small family. "Excuse me, young man? Do you want some shaved ice?" I asked, bending down to his height. "Um, yes sir. Strawberry." He replied, gripping his mother's hand a bit tighter. I smiled as I stood up again, looking towards the mom. "And you?" I asked. The mother seemed kind of shocked, before nodding lightly.

I'm not sure I could've smiled wider as I asked them to find a seat,  running off to get shaved ice. I ordered a watermelon and a strawberry, paying before running over to the duo and handing the cold sweets to them, jogging back over to a fully awake Todoroki. I sat down, very happy with myself as I grabbed my drink, sticking the straw in my mouth as I swung my feet once again, scrolling through my phone. "What was that?" Todoroki asked, looking at me. I turned to him, smiling as big as I could.

"The one time when I was maybe four or five, I made a deal with my mom that if I was good while we were shopping, I could get a treat. So, when we were in the different stores, I was extra careful to not wonder off or ask for too much. I listened super well and tried my best to be a good little boy, but when we were done and I asked about the treat and my mom said the same thing that the mom over there said. Groceries were a little more expensive than my mom had thought and she didn't have the money. Just as we were about to walk out, a man dressed in all green came up and offered ice-cream. That man bought vanilla, my mom's favorite, and strawberry chocolate, my favorite. Ever since, I've always helped whenever I could. Other than All Might, that man was, and is, my favorite hero." I told my story, my smile never letting up as I remember the fond memory.

"That's why my hero costume is green." My face hurt as the smile was reluctant to release my muscles as I looked down at my phone again. "Huh, I didn't know that Deku. I always assumed it was because it's the same color as your hair." I jumped and squealed as Uraraka spoke behind me. "Ha, Ura, you scared me." I sighed, putting my hand on my chest to add drama as I looked back at the three females standing there. "Uraraka, Tsu, and I noticed what you did and decided that we'd ask about. Seems Todoroki here got to it first though, so we listened in." Mina said, nudging Todoroki teasingly.

"Ribbit. Yeah, that was sweet of you, Midoriya. Ribbit." Tsuyu said, smiling at me like a proud mom would. "Thanks guys, but it's nothing." I said. The three girls went and got something to snack on and drink as we waited for everyone else to meet up like we planned. I played on my phone, showing something go Todoroki every once in awhile. Eventually, everyone was seated and talking, expect for Kaminari, Kacchan, and Kirishima. I looked around a bit, seeing no sign of the triple K's. I texted Kacchan, telling him we were just waiting for them.

I was not expecting a picture of Kaminari and Kirishima on there knees, begging for a shirt they were pointing at. I laughed as the photo definitely described they're relationship. "What is it?" Todoroki asked, looking over my shoulder as I laughed. The teen looked a bit confused before cracking a small smile and shaking his head, looking back to his phone. I texted my response and waited until I saw Kirishima and Kaminari laughing at angry and red Kacchan

I smiled, trying not to laugh as I heard Kaminari's wheeze from where I was. Todoroki turned to me, staring at me until I looked at him. "Let's get something to eat." Todoroki said, reaching his hand out to me as he stood up. "I'm not hu-" "So American food or back to the café." Todoroki interrupted, obviously not taking no for an answer. "The café. The grease in America food sounds nasty." I mumbled, still not wanting to eat. "Okay." Todoroki replied, dragging me to the cute, little store. "Welcome back you two!" The cashier from before greeted, smiling. I nodded towards her as Todoroki started ordering cold soba again. Todoroki got done and walked over to the cashier with out me having to ask.

"Um, let's see. The, um, I think I'll have the small-" "Medium." Todoroki interjected. I looked at him, a bit annoyed. "Small chicken teriyaki." I finished, still looking at him. "Uh, so small or medium?" The girl asked, making me look back at her. "Smedial." The young girl taking my order looked confused as both me and Todoroki responded at the same time, making a weird word. "You know I won't finish a medium." I said, frustrated that he was being so stubborn. "You need to eat more." Todoroki fought back. I ignored him and was about to turn back when a hand lands on my shoulder. "A small please." I looked up and down the familiar man clan in all green.

I felt a warm bubbling excitement boil in my veins. "Okay!" The server girl responded, seemingly happy that she got a straight answer. "You-You're Mr. Green!" I yelled happily as I grabbed the hand off my shoulder and held it. "Uh, what?" The man asked. "You paid for ice cream for my mom and I when I was really little!" I yelled, happy to met him again. "Todo! This is the guy I was talking about! The reason my hero costume is green!" I hollered looking back at a surprised looking Todoroki. "You're my heroo- where'd he go?" I asked, looking around the store and seeing no sign of him.

"He just disappeared." Todoroki replied, eyes as wide as they'd go. I ran out, going to the food court, still no sign of the man. I sighed, walking back to the café. "Small chicken teriyaki, please." I mumbled, walking to the cashier. She looked a bit concerned as I paid and took my food . "You find him?" Todoroki asked as I walked over to him and sat down next to the half n' half teen. I shook my head 'no' as I started eating the savory chicken and noodles.

I saw Todoroki nod out of the corner of my eye. I took a few more bites before I was done. I sighed leaning back on the chair, letting go of my fork. "No, three bites is not enough." Todoroki said, grabbing my fork and twirling some noodles on it before putting it against my lips. I pushed his wrist away, laying my head on the table. "Fine, I'm done too." Todoroki replied, standing with a mostly full plate of noodles. "Huh? No, no! I'll eat! I'll eat!" I yelled, stuffing a huge bite of food in my mouth. "See?!" I yelled, pointing at my full cheeks. Todoroki laughed and sat down, starting to eat again.

I gagged on the noodles as I finished my mouth full, taking another bite. "I can't." I mumbled, pushing the food away as I put a hand over my mouth, forcing myself to swallow. "Okay, we'll get a to-go plate and you can have it for dinner." Todoroki said, patting my hair, trying to sooth me. Todoroki finished and we got me a to-go plate and left. We met up back up with everyone else, agreeing it was time to go back. "Deku! Get your ass over here! We're gonna leave without you!" Kacchan yelled, stomping away with Kirishima.

I was about to run to them when Todoroki grabbed my wrist, leaving the plastic bags to crinkle as they swung in my hand. Todoroki lightly kissed my lips and bringing me into a hug. "Text me." Todoroki whispered, kissing my nose and walking away. I stared at his back for a minute before running over to Kirishima and Kacchan.
