Izuku Midoriya has been "unstable" since his mom, Inko Midoriya, was killed by a villian, right infront of him. He blames himself and nightmares make sleeping near impossible, but he refuses any offers of help. After an especially long day, he's don...
I felt warm and safe. The familiar sent of vanilla and fire making being awake worth it and opening my eyes seem impossible. The gentle pull of someone playing with my hair lulled me into an unconditionally laxed state. I laid there for who knows how long, just enjoying the warmth and scent surrounding me. I cuddled more into the thing radiating heat and bumped my head, creating the sound of teeth being knocked together. I heard a small grunt, and then a sigh; happy or sad was unknown to my half asleep self, as I was pulled closer to the heater. "Mm, warm." I mumbled, rubbing my face into, what I assumed to be, Todoroki's shirt.
"Oh, you're up." Todoroki whispered, not changing anything. "Mm, don't wanna be though." I didn't want to open my eyes or move at all. I am comfortable and warm, if you want me to move, you don't have a clue what you're dealing with. I heard a chuckle, from both my ear on Todoroki's chest and from his mouth, making it sound really odd. "I had a feeling you'd respond like that." I could hear Todoroki's smile in his voice as he spoke.
My only response was curling further into his chest, trying to relax again, finding the task quite easy. "Are you asleep?" I barely heard Todoroki whisper. "I want to be." I whispered back, peeking a single eye open to look at him before closing it again and sitting up. "What time is it?" I asked, noting the sleep in-laced with my voice. "Almost noon." Todoroki responded as I attempted to rub the sleep out of my eyes. "M'kay." I said, yawning afterward. "What woke you up?" Todoroki asked, sitting up and stretching his arms over his head. "Natural causes? Nothing bad." I replied, straightening my back, raising my arms, and flexing my legs before slumping back down.
"Good." Todoroki said, sliding past me and getting off the bed. "Let's go get lunch and shop." Todoroki offered, turning back to face me with his hands on his hips. I was about to say yes when I realized, 'I still haven't done the one thing that I need to do.' I looked down at my lap, trying to decide if I wanted someone along with me. "Okay, so I didn't seem to make myself very clear. We're going out for lunch and I'm going to make you smile. Period, end of story. Go get ready." Todoroki demanded, making goose flesh prick at my arms and neck.
"O-Okay." I said, standing quickly and grabbing a pair of socks. "Change your pants too. Sweats aren't enough today, it's supposed to rain." Todoroki said, sitting back down on the bed. "Okay... dad."I whispered the last part to myself as I opened a drawer and pulled out some black skinny jeans. I changed, making sure to be faced away from the half n' half teen behind me.
I looked back down at my current attire and decided that it wouldn't do. A plain shirt with some nice black jeans just doesn't cut it for me. I look through what shirts I brought, feeling stupid for not bringing anything nice. I hummed in frustration as I grabbed my green hoodie and a black t-shirt, throwing them on before walking to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror, tucking my mom's ring into the collar on my shirt before feeling utterly disappointed in myself. I sighed and gave up, walking out and running into Todoroki as I turned.
"Oh, sorry. Just a minute and we can go." I said, continuing to walk as it took off the hoddie I just put on. I looked down at myself again as I started walking down the stairs. 'A t-shirt doesn't cover my bandages.' I groaned, turning around to go back up to my room before an amazing thought came to me.
"Mic~!" I cooed in a sing song fashion. "Oh! Look who's up!" Mic yelled, looking at me from the couch he perched himself on. "Yeah! Can I ask for a favor?" I asked, finishing my trip down the stairs. "If it's about your outfit, there's a few flannels in my closet that'll work great." Mic said, looking at my arms. "Sweet!" I hollered turning around before turning back. "Go get them for me? I don't want to invade your space more than I already have." I said, grabbing my picky finger and playing with it.
"You're not 'invading' anyone's space, remember? We invited you to our space. Come on, I'll help you pick." Mic said, getting up off the couch and leading me up the stairs and pass a very confused looking Todoroki. "If all of this is for me, you don't have to do anything special." Todoroki whispered, following me and the blonde teacher. "Oh no, this is strictly because I can not go out with a half complete look. This has nothing to do with trying to impress you." I explained, feeling like just maybe my boyfriend did have an effect on my need to look at least okay, but I'd never admit that.
We made it down the hall quickly and I couldn't bring myself to entering the room. "I have red, green, blue, and yellow." Mic said, holding up the four shirts. "Green please!" I said, putting my hands on the door frame and standing on my toes, my torso leaning into the room. My cheeks and ears felt weird as my face muscles moved into a smile. "You know you can come in, right?" Mic said, handing me the shirt. "Thanks Mic! Nah, this is your and Aizawa's room." I replied, taking the shirt off the hanger and slipping my arms into the sleeves. "You can call me Hizashi, little listener." Mic said, putting his hands on his hips. "If I call you by your name here, it'll become habit and then I'll mess it up at school." I explained, tying the front of the shirt before untying it. I sighed as tried a few other ways of wear a flannel shirt while still having cover my arms.
"Okay. No. Come here." Mic said, pulling me into the room he and Aizawa shared. He took the flannel off and hung it back up, grabbing a few different black items. "Okay. Long," Mic held up a black leather jacket that had belts sewn onto it. "Medium," another black jacket that wasn't as long and had sliver zippers for the hand pockets, chest pockets, and the actual zipper. "Or short." Which was just a smaller version of the first one. "Um, medium?" I asked, like the simplicity of it. "Put it on and wear these." Mic order, handing me a pair of black boots. "Okay." I said, doing as the blonde instructed.
I looked at the body mirror that was behind the door. "Ha! I love it!" I hollered, looking at the outfit Mic threw together in just seconds. I smiled, feeling quite pleased with how the clothes hid and defined my curves. "God damn. Your gorgeous." I looked in the mirror to Todoroki as he looked me up and down. "Thank you. You too, Mic. I'm really happy with this." I replied smiling, playing with the zipper. "Of course." Mic smiled back, looking quite proud of his work.

(Same outfit just on Midoriya.)
"What's going on in here?" Aizawa asked, walking in. I moved out of the way of the door as it opened. "Mic is just making me feel pretty." I replied, the smile I wore never leaving my face. "You realize that your going to be his model from here on because you let him do that, right?" The dark haired teacher asked. "I don't mind, especially if I'm going to look like this every time." I replied spinning on the ball of my foot, holding the bottom of the jacket.
"Holy shit. Hizashi, whatever you did, keep doing it. I don't think I've seen him smile like this for a few months." Aizawa said, feeling no shame in saying it aloud. "Uh huh." Mic agreed. "And Todoroki looks quite happy too." I went to look at him but before I could I had a bottle of concealer in my face. "W-Wait the hickey I gave you, you look like a p-playboy." Todoroki mumbled, holding the bottle of make-up to my left cheek, his face a bit red.
"Uh, Hey! That's your fault!" I said, feeling a wave of heat rush to my face. "Sure it was. Go put it on and make sure I got the right color." Todoroki said. I grabbed the tube of make up and stood in the mirror, gently applying the concealer on my neck with the brush it came with. I was surprised as the color blended perfectly with my skin, hiding the bruise easily. "Woah! Hey! You didn't just guess when you bought this did you?" I asked, turning to the half and half boy. "Well, no. I had Fuyumi look at a picture of you and she picked the color." Todoroki said rubbing the back of his neck.
"Haha! A woman's touch!" Mic laughed, leaning on Aizawa for support. I smiled again, loving having conversations like these; relaxed and full of laughter. I chuckled as well, finding Todoroki's blushing cute.
