Midoriya's POV
I froze, feeling a hot blush rise to my face. "TODO!!" I yelled, embarrassed by my own thoughts. "You Don't Say Things Like That!" I whisper-yelled, trying to make it seem a little more normal to the adults in the room. "Just like you shouldn't try to cut right in front of me." I felt every muscle in my body stiffen as Todoroki didn't even try to quiet his voice.
"What? Did he really?" I refused to look at Aizawa, knowing how this could change things. "Yeah, last night." Todoroki replied, as I stood still, looking away from anyone. "Midoriya, we might have to change the answer I just gave you." I flinched, all hope I had that he wouldn't say that, was now long gone. "Wait! But what if-" I was cut of by Mic. "Shota, that's not fair to him. We can find some sorta resolve, can't we?"
I was, to say the least, surprised to hear what Mic said, fairly quiet for him as well. "Please!" I shouted, feeling like I finally, really, had someone on my side. Aizawa sighed and I didn't even bother to look at Todoroki, he could've just ruined this for me. "Convince us." Aizawa said, looking between Mic and I. 'Us? That means Todoroki too. Damn it.' I thought, realizing how hard this would be.
"We can check on him every few hours." Mic suggested. "That wouldn't work, Midoriya said he wanted to go to his mom's grave alone." Aizawa replied, making his way over to my bed. "Plus, if we only call, then we can't make sure just how okay he really is. Mido has had a lot of practice when it comes to faking it." Todoroki added in, crossing his arms over his nicely built chest.
"Says you! Come on! If we call at least you'll know I'm not dead, right?!" I said, probably louder then what was needed. "Yeah, and what about cutting? Eating? How will we know how really alright you are?" Todoroki snapped, seemingly upset about it. "I'll send you pictures of my food and arms, if I have to, legs as well." I said, becoming a bit desperate.
'I don't think they are understanding just how important this is to me.' I thought, kind of disappointed. "Yeah, that might work, but how will we know they aren't just old pictures?" Aizawa asked, adding in again. "Oh! I Got It! We Can Give him Different Positions! Like In front Of A Widow Or Holding Up Different Amounts Of Fingers! Oh! Oh! And Legs We Could Have Him Hold A Fork Between His Toes!" Mic yelled, almost excited that he had such an amazing and odd idea.
"Yeah! I like that idea!" I said, feeling the bubbly feeling again. "Okay, and food?" Todoroki asked. 'I feel like Todo's intentionally making this hard.' I thought, looking over to Todoroki as the bubbly feeling went away slightly. "I'll send you beginning, middle, and end pictures... or be on call with you or something." I said, flipping my arms around as I was thinking and talking at the same time. "Or you two could go on dates to eat."
I felt a familiar wave of heat fill my face as I turned to look at Aizawa, who was smirking at me through his eyes. 'What a jerk, teasing us like that.' I thought, feeling a bit stupid for getting all flustered. "That'll work." Todoroki replied, obviously taking that too seriously. Mic started laugh as Aizawa looked a little stunned. "Um, Todo... I think Mr. Aizawa was making a joke." I said smirking, a little entertained by Todoroki's literalness.
"Ya Think?!" Mic laughed, bracing himself on the wall as he tried to calm down. "Don't be mean, he didn't know!" I complained lightly at Mic, walking over and bringing Todoroki's head down to my chest, petting his perfect hair. "It... was a joke?" Todoroki mumbled into my shirt, sounding a bit disappointed. "Wait, do you not want it to be?" I asked, pulling Todoroki away just enough to look at him.
"Well, it sounded really nice to me. We could go out and I could check on you. I'd know that you had eaten at least one meal and I could check for cuts then too. So, yeah? I guess." Todoroki said, mumbling on for a bit. "Um, does that do for you?" I asked, looking at Aizawa, hoping he'd let me. Aizawa sighed, rolling his neck and making it pop. "Please, Aizawa!" I pleaded, bowing down to a 90° angle to try and get my point across.
"Fine, fine. Just keep me and Mic updated." Aizawa said, standing. ""Mic and I" is how you should've said that, Shota." Mic said, pulling a face at the raven haired man. "Yeah, yeah. Okay, let's go." Aizawa replied, pulling the blond teacher out of the room, closing the door behind them."Where were we before?" Todoroki asked, looking at me, still looking a bit upset. "I was asking to keep the... well, the little green box and it's contents." I said quickly, hoping he'd say yes. "You mean the razors. The things you've almost killed yourself with. The things that have caused so much pain." Todoroki said dryly, looking extremely unconvinced.
"No, I mean the things that were there for me when no one else was. The things that made me feel better, even if for just a little bit. The things that made me believe I was human and not just some monster. The things that kept me sane while everything else drove me up a wall. The things that gave me more than just one choice, that gave me an escape." I said back, trying to express why I really wanted them.
I watched as Todoroki's eyebrows knitted together and his face changing to on of frustration and confusion. "What're you saying, Mido?" Todoroki asked, the emotions he felt bleeding through his words. "I'm saying that I want to keep them. I want to keep my razors, but not for hurtful reasons." I trailed off, looking down as Todoroki glared down at me. "Please?" I asked, feeling like I had said that a lot this morning.
"And why should I say yes? I'm already letting you keep one." Todoroki asked, crossing his arms again. "I'll still keep to the promises I made! I swear! Remember? I'll tell you before I use one and they don't come with me for break!" I hollered, getting close enough to Todoroki that I could grab onto his crossed arms if I wanted to. "Please! I promised!" I pleaded, knowing how unlikely it'd be for him to accept.
"On one condition. You have to follow this condition to the point or I will be taking all of those razors away." Todoroki said sternly, making me a little nervous. "W-What is it?" I asked, mentally cursing at myself for stuttering. "Every time you cut you throw away two razors. The one you cut with and the one you'll throw away as punishment. " Todoroki said, his arms still crossed as he looked down at me. "Yay! Okay! Okay. I'll do it, I promise." I said, starting out fairly loud before calming down a bit and returning to a more mature me.
"I spoil you." Todoroki said, rolling his eyes teasingly before unfolding his arms and throwing them around me. I melted into his warm, comfortable arms as I hugged him back, grabbing onto his shoulders to keep him as close as physically possible. We stayed like that, quietly standing in each other's warmth, for a while. "How about you hop into the shower while I go downstairs to make us breakfast?" Todoroki offered, still keeping his arms laced around me.
'Fatty. If you eat you'll only get worse. Don't even think about it.'
The thoughts swirled around in my head. The offer made me sick to my stomach. "Sure, that sounds nice." I said, deciding that maybe I'd feel better after a shower. "Hm'kay. But you'd have to let go first." Todoroki said, chuckling a bit after he finished talking. "But you're so warm." I complained, pulling Todoroki closer to me.
"Thank you, Mido. I know I am, but doesn't a nice, warm shower sound so much better?" Todoroki asked, knowing saying warm in that sentence would make it sound more alluring. "Yeah, but you're still better." I said, pulling myself away just enough to look at him, pouting a bit. "What? Do you want me to join you?" Todoroki asked, teasing me enough to make me push him away. "N-N-No Thanks! " I practically yelled as I pretty much ran into the bathroom for the second time this morning.
